During Hilton’s annual Global Week of Service the Hilton Pattaya team led by general manager Rudolf Troeslter and director of human resources Hilton Thailand Montree Sattham built a greenhouse for Wat Don Lan School in Ayutthaya.

For nearly 100 years, Hilton has seen a world that can be made better through genuine hospitality. Hilton Pattaya’s efforts are a part of Hilton’s week-long celebration recognising the hotel group’s year-round commitment to serving and enriching the communities where team members live, work and travel.

Hilton Pattaya donated Bt200,000 from the ‘Teddy for Charity’ fundraising campaign to Habitat for Humanity Thailand to sponsor the school greenhouse in Phak Hai District, Ayutthaya. And it wasn’t just a donation, the Hilton Pattaya management team along with more than 30 team members joined the Habitat for Humanity Thailand team in the building work. They carried out shoveling, mixing fertiliser, planting and made its concrete floor.

The organic produce from this project will be used for student lunches to ensure that they get the fresh, good quality of food. In addition, the greenhouse is used as an agricultural learning centre for the teachers and students.

Other activities also were organised to improve the students’ living including the maintenance of tables, benches and fans at the canteen, the donation of student shoes, stationery, and sport equipment.

As a part of Hilton’s strategy, the company aims to create a positive impact in communities. Not only the environmental conservation, the company also invests in many programmes to help women and youth around the world.

Hilton Pattaya initiated the ‘Teddy for Charity’ fundraising campaign and organised the corporate social responsibility activities during the Global Week of Service.
