The Honda LPGA Thailand is the first and only women’s professional golf tournament in Thailand on the LPGA Tour. It first teed-off in 2006 and now the tournament showcases 60 of world’s best women players and 10 risings stars to compete for the prize purse of $1.6m (approximately Bt53m).

The Honda LPGA Thailand 2019, promoted and organised by IMG, will feature 58 professionals from the 2019 LPGA Priority List, plus the winners of the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic 2019 and 2019 ISPS Honda Women’s Australian Open. In addition there will be nine invited players and the winner of the Honda LPGA Thailand National Qualifiers, bringing the total field to 70.

The aim this year is to further support female golfers pursue their dreams through the inaugural National Qualifiers which will see one Thai female golfer qualify to play in the Honda LPGA Thailand 2019.

The applicant, if an amateur, must have handicap from the US Golf Association and will go on to compete on February 21-24 at the beautiful Old Course Siam Country Club.

This year’s tournament has the slogan ‘Dream Big’ and this is a prime example of Honda’s commitment to help people realise their dreams and stimulate interest in the sport of golf in Thailand.
