19-day festival of events to be held 31 March to 18 April, targets Thai and expatriates from around Thailand

Bringing together Phuket Island public and private sectors to drive tourism, Laguna Phuket – Asia’s Premier Destination Resort – is set to kick-off 19 days of island fun with a series of exciting events that will showcase the beauty and preparedness of Phuket, and appeal to people from all across the country. To be held from 31st March to 18 April, 2021, the Laguna Phuket Revive 555 Festival includes sports, music, cultural and community events over three weekends, including Thailand’s most popular holiday, Songkran, with headlining artists Kong Saharat, Da Endorphine, Yes’sir Days, Pop Pongkool, LABANOON, Golf F. Hero, Thaitanium, Ice Saranyu and Instinct taking part.

Looking to provide a boost to Phuket’s economy and spur domestic tourism, the Laguna Phuket Revive 555 Festival offers something for everyone and there’s never been a better time to visit the island. The Andaman Sea and beaches are pristine, the air clean and environment safe, and its people remain as welcoming as ever.

Songkran is a popular time to travel and spend time with family and friends. The 19-day Laguna Phuket Revive 555 Festival offers up a unique choice of activities and events, and the expected influx of domestic tourists to the island is sure to benefit Phuket’s tourism industry.

The Laguna Phuket Revive 555 Festival kicks off on 31 March. Held at Xana Beach Club, the inaugural event is the Laguna Phuket Thailand Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Championship 2021 which runs on until 4 April 2021. The Laguna Phuket Soundwave presented by Works.com, held 3-4 April at Laguna Grove, showcases world-class entertainment including famous Thai artists, while the Angel Market located on the grounds of Cassia Phuket promotes local arts and crafts, and food.

Over the next three weekends, Phuket is set to really come alive with a series of enticing events fun for the entire community. Phuket province will host Roy Rim Lay from 10-12 April at Laguna Grove. The event gives guests to the island the chance to sample Phuket’s famous, delicious local gastronomy and enjoy on-site live entertainment. For active travelers, Xana Beach Club will host a beach run on Sunday 11 April, ending the day with live entertainment and refreshments as the sun sets over Bang Tao Bay.

The Songkran Holiday period celebrates the LGBTQ+ community with Laguna Phuket Pride 2021 taking place over 4 four days, starting on Monday 12 April. Laguna Phuket Pride 2021 coincides with Laguna Phuket Sustainability Day and Night Community Activity, two events linked to the heart of Laguna Phuket’s corporate social responsibility endeavors, while golf-lovers can take part in a Laguna Golf Phuket tournament on Wednesday 14 April.

The final weekend of Laguna Phuket Revive 555 Festival, which takes place on 17-18 April, is sure to draw the trendiest of crowds. Cassia Phuket will host Laguna Phuket’s first-ever Surf Skate event against the backdrop of live music and entertainment in the form of Laguna Phuket Soundwave presented by Works.com. The fast-growing sport has become a Phuket favourite in recent months, and festival goers are sure to enjoy the cool moves of the skaters. The much-hyped live music concerts also return to Laguna Grove that weekend for an epic finale to the 19-day festival.

Each Laguna Phuket hotel will arrange exclusive fringe activities to complement the festival. Guests of Angsana Laguna Phuket, Banyan Tree Phuket, Cassia Phuket, Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket and Saii Laguna Phuket will have direct access to all events via Laguna Phuket’s on-site shuttle services.
