The Mandarin Oriental has signed a new luxury resort in Phuket.

Scheduled to open in 2022, the Mandarin Oriental, Phuket, will will occupy 9.5 hectares of land in Laem Singh Bay on the west coast of Phuket island.

The hotel’s 105 rooms, including 37 pool villas, will offer guests panoramic views of the Andaman Sea.

The site itself includes a white sand beach with rocky outcrops, providing excellent access for snorkelling and swimming.

Facilities will include three restaurants and bars, a range of flexible function facilities, a spa, fitness centre and two outdoor swimming pools. A kid’s club and a host of outdoor leisure pursuits will also be available.

The resort is around 30 minutes by car from the international airport.
