Demand for pet-friendly developments is on the rise

Animals have always been a thorny issue in condos and apartments, but pet owners are a big niche market and increasingly landlords are offering lets for pets.

Previously you may not have called Bangkok a pet-friendly city with most public spaces off-limits to your four-legged friends, however, developers are saying they are increasingly becoming more pet friendly to appease residents and homebuyers.

As an example, approximately half of Hong Kong’s major developments now cater to pets, a 40 percent jump from 2018, with Thailand starting to follow suit as companies across the world implement remote working arrangements and with this trend, accommodating pets is part of a wider shift to creating post-pandemic homes and workspaces.

Major Development has not only embraced the ‘Pet-Friendly’ attitude but is also making it a culture leading in pet-friendly residences, as they focus on the younger market and the younger lifestyle.

Major Development is working closely with Thonglor Animal Hospital sharing tips and advice going one step further than being pet-friendly with an ethos to help improve the quality of life for residents and pets together, they have also published a 4 Easy Ways to take care of your pets in a condo, especially during summer months, with well-ventilated zones in condos being just one of the steps.

Residents of Major Development Group will also receive special care from the experts at Thonglor Animal Hospital through their Exclusive Club, with benefits including, vet examinations, emergency room treatment, pet taxi to the hospital, and the recruitment of pet trainers.
