“Anyone who enjoys staying in fancy upmarket hotels, whether big named chains or trendier Boutique designed hotels (sometimes by celebrity designers) accept to pay for the experience. It’s to be expected that highly refined design comes at a certain price. But we pay it as we enjoy that special level of heightened and rich experience, that detailed wow design that makes you pull out your phone at every opportunity for that “Look where I am” shot. Sure, it’s not for everyone, but certainly it’s for many, for those who seek out something different in a world where people will simply pay huge amounts of hard-earned cash to be immersed in an environment that brings pleasure and escapism. Ice hotels, 5-star tents in tropical and wildlife environments, underwater hotel rooms on island retreats to name a few have been around for some time now. But why can’t Condominiums have public areas that resemble these fascinating hotel experiences?”

These were the words from Winston Gale, owner of The Riviera Group recently when asking why he loves design so much and if he feels his design passion is recognised and appreciated by buyers of Condominiums.

“I feel buyers want an upgraded experience more and more these days. It’s a big step for most to buy a Condominium, whether for living or investment. Whichever buyer type you are, ultimately you want your purchase to have strong value, which is not so easy in a busy property market place. But given a good location together with a strong concept, that provides high levels of unique design really does help to establish and secure a long-term investment within projects for buyers compared to a typical plain condominium building. Problem is for most developments; it costs considerable money to do this and good design skills are not so freely available”.

It’s a very good point, walking through any project Winston has done with his Riviera Team does leave you wondering where the concierge is, the talk of the town bar or the hotels Michelin Star restaurant. I’ve been to them all, the design experience is that these designer hotels have spent so much time and money to get you to stay with them for that one night’s great experience of escapism. But only in this case, these are condominiums where the owners get this experience on a daily basis. Smart really when you think about it. But why bother if other developments seem to succeed without the effort of high design and the costs that go with it?

“Well that’s up to each company to do as they prefer, but for us, that is what sets The Riviera Group apart from most out there. A unique edge where we offer a richness in design experience only usually reserved for high-priced hotels”.

It’s fair to also point at then that this Multi-Award-Winning company hasn’t won all these awards over the years because they did the same as everyone else. It’s in the eye for detail, the effort, and the lifestyle offered. Topically and ideally, a nice way to close on this article is to quote The Riviera Group’s own motto as seen on their shirts……. “Creating Incredible Lifestyles.”
