In the lead-up to the Honda LPGA Thailand 2019, Honda Automobile (Thailand) is continuing its push to develop golf in Thailand by joining with the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) in inviting Thai students aged 18 and over to join the Young Ambassadors Seminar,  on Saturday, January 19 from 9am to 5pm at the SAT head office, Hua Mak, Seminar Room, 24th Floor. Participants will have an opportunity to be selected for an exclusive internship in 2020 for major golf tournaments in Singapore, China or Thailand.

Seminar participants of the Young Ambassadors will gain in-depth knowledge of the operations of a golf course and insight into the different areas of hosting a major international golf tournament from a well-seasoned management team from IMG, and various experts from the industry.

The Young Ambassadors seminar is free of charge for attendees who need to have a good command of English and are attending university or are recent university graduates. Thai students interested in learning in detail about potential professional opportunities in the golf industry – and a related opportunity for an internship abroad – can apply at www.hondalpgathailand.com until 17th January 2019.

“We want to inspire next-generation Thai golfers and golf-industry professionals to ‘Dream Big’”, says Pitak Pruittisarikorn, Chief Operating Officer of Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

“Now is the perfect time for generating excitement in young golfers and sharing our passion for the sport at the Young Ambassadors Seminar. The event presents a fantastic opportunity to empower novice golfers and plants the seeds of inspiration for this challenging sport so that they may one day join the growing ranks of pro golfers and golf experts from Thailand. I encourage any young Thai person interested in golf to apply for the event, which is one more thrilling milestone on the Road to Honda LPGA Thailand.”

This seminar will be limited to the first 100 applicants; following the seminar approximately 30 of them will be invited to serve as a volunteer for Honda LPGA Thailand 2019. After the tournament, the contributions of these 30 students will be reviewed, and the six most outstanding of them will be offered an exclusive internship in 2020 with the chance to help organise and attend another major golf tournament in Singapore, China or Thailand.
