THE LONGEST-RUNNING REAL ESTATE AWARDS PROGRAMME IN THAILAND TO STAGE VIRTUAL GALA BROADCAST PRESENTATION, IN-PERSON RECEPTION

• Around 37 categories at stake for kingdom’s outstanding developers and projects, including never-before-presented titles of Best Developer (Eastern Seaboard), Best Developer (Phuket), and Best Club Facilities Design
• Highly anticipated inaugural virtual gala presentation to air in December 2021, followed by an exclusive, in-person awards reception in February 2022
• Anuphong Assavabhokhin, vice-chairman and chief executive officer of AP (Thailand) Public Company Limited, to receive the prestigious Real Estate Personality of the Year title

PropertyGuru Group, Southeast Asia’s leading property technology company, revealed today the developers and projects shortlisted as nominees for the 16th annual edition of the PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards, supported by IHI, JLL Thailand, Mitsubishi Electric, and Bathic.

Andaman Asset Solution Co., Ltd.; BL Development; Eakphoomsub Development Company Limited; Habitat Group Co., Ltd. and Habitat Hospitality Co., Ltd.; Lucky Living Properties Co., Ltd.; Maneerin Property; Na Varang Asset; Sansiri Public Company Limited; and Utopia Corporation Co., Ltd. are just a few of the developers that have emerged, after a rigorous judging process, as shortlisted nominees for this year’s awards.

Developers will be receiving a wide array of trophies and citations in 37 categories, including the all-new titles of Best Developer (Eastern Seaboard) and Best Developer (Phuket). The Development and Design categories will also distinguish superior properties in such real estate hotspots as Chiangmai, Hua Hin, Samui, and the upcountry, with a new award for the Best Club Facilities Design.

The 2021 Thailand Real Estate Personality of the Year award, a title decided by the editors of PropertyGuru Property Report, the official magazine of the awards, will be presented to Anuphong Assavabhokhin, vice-chairman and chief executive officer of AP (Thailand) Public Company Limited. The executive won over the editorial team with the world-class product and service innovations pioneered under his leadership; his support for Thai SMEs; and philanthropy during the pandemic, among other achievements.

The 2021 edition of the PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards will be the programme’s inaugural virtual gala broadcast presentation, a high-production online event that will be simulcast Friday, 3 December 2021 on AsiaPropertyAwards.com/tv-podcast and the official live platforms on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube.

Highlights of the show will air on the History Channel, the official cable TV partner of the awards.

Extending its run as the longest-running programme of its kind in the country, the PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards virtual gala event will precede an exclusive awards reception in February 2022, a safe but enjoyable gathering for developers and projects selected as awardees in 2021.

3The independent panel of judges that shortlisted this year’s nominated developers and projects consist of Suphin Mechuchep, Awards Chairperson and Chairperson, JLL Thailand; Chaivut Saengaram, Ph.D., Chief Operating Officer, Chuchawal – Royal Haskoning Ltd.; Chaiyuth Pete Thirangoon, Director, Akatan Company Limited; Leong Choong Peng, Director, Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Consultant Chartered Surveyor; Marciano Birjmohun, Director, The Singapore-Thai Chambers of Commerce; Dr. Phongthon Tharachai, CEO, Project Planning Service Public Company Limited; Precha Suphapetiporn, President, Thai Real Estate Sales and Marketing Association; Sasivimol Sinthawanarong, Design Principal, Jarken Co., Ltd.; Professor Sonthya Vanichvatana, Ph.D, MRICS, Chairperson, the Department of Real Estate, Associate Architect, MSME School of Management and Economics, Assumption University; and Tawatchai Kobkaikit, Managing Director, TK Studio.

The judging process took place under the stringent supervision of HLB Thailand, one of the country’s leading international accounting and advisory firms. Ensuring the fairness, transparency, credibility and integrity of the awards was the HLB Thailand team led by Paul Ashburn, Co-Managing Partner; Pranchat Phananun, Consultant, Business Services & Outsourcing; and Rossathon Charoenpakdee, Senior Consultant, Business Services & Outsourcing.

Top awardees from Thailand will compete with country winners from around Asia Pacific for coveted “Best in Asia” accolades, to be presented at the 16th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final, part of the series of events known as “PropertyGuru Week” in December.

Also part of PropertyGuru Week, the latest editions of the awards programme for Australia, China (Mainland, Hong Kong, and Macau), Greater Niseko (Japan), India, and Sri Lanka will take place in the run-up to the Grand Final.

The virtual world of the 2021 PropertyGuru Asia Real Estate Summit is also scheduled to open during PropertyGuru Week. The summit, also known as the tech and thought leadership platform of the awards, this year has lined up a series of informative, engaging keynote presentations and discussions, touching on topics like the data landscape, accessible data, sustainable development, and data innovation, with high-level speakers joining in from Asia to the Americas.
