Pullman Bangkok King Power is set to welcome Chef Sun Kim, chef-owner of Singapore’s acclaimed Meta Restaurant, which holds two MICHELIN Stars, for an exclusive three-night culinary collaboration from 29–31 October 2026 at Tenko Omakase.

For three special evenings, Chef Sun Kim will present an exclusive eight-course omakase experience, created especially for the occasion. The menu will offer diners an opportunity to discover the chef’s distinctive culinary philosophy through a contemporary interpretation of Korean flavours, drawing on his Korean heritage, international culinary experience, seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques.
Highlights of the menu will include Grilled Abalone Porridge served with Lily Flower Salad, Busan-style Homemade Noodles accompanied by fermented chilli and perilla leaves, and Korean-style Wagyu Barbecue served with traditional accompaniments and mountain vegetable rice. Each course reflects the depth of Korean culinary heritage while showcasing Chef Sun Kim’s contemporary approach and international perspective.

Born in Busan and raised in Seoul, South Korea, Chef Sun Kim began his culinary journey at his mother’s gamja-tang restaurant, where he developed an early connection with the flavours and traditions of Korean cuisine. At the age of 26, he moved to Sydney to further develop his culinary skills, training under renowned chef Tetsuya Wakuda at Tetsuya’s, before continuing his culinary journey at Waku Ghin in Singapore.
In 2015, Chef Sun Kim opened Meta in Singapore. The restaurant was awarded its first MICHELIN Star in 2017, followed by its second MICHELIN Star in 2024. Meta has also been recognised in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants since 2021 and was named The American Express One to Watch in the same year.
Today, Chef Sun Kim continues to explore new ways of presenting Korean cuisine through a contemporary lens, combining the foundations of Korean culinary traditions with experience gained from his international career. His cuisine places a strong emphasis on seasonal ingredients, creativity and innovation, resulting in a distinctive dining experience that bridges Korean heritage with modern culinary expression.
