Pattaya Group Advances Thailand’s Aviation Industry with Boeing 737-800 Simulator Launch and Enhanced Aircraft Maintenance Capabilities

Pattaya Group continues to expand its aviation business, strengthening workforce development through advanced flight simulation training while raising aircraft maintenance standards with certification from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand.

Pattaya Group is continuing to expand its capabilities across Thailand’s aviation sector, with a focus on both aviation workforce development and aircraft maintenance services. Pattaya Aviation Training Center Co., Ltd. (PATC) is advancing aviation education with the launch of a Boeing 737-800 Fixed-Base Simulator, providing valuable learning opportunities and practical experiences for aviation professionals, students and those interested in the industry. Meanwhile, Pattaya Aircraft Maintenance Co., Ltd. has achieved a significant milestone by receiving a domestic maintenance organisation certificate from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT).

Building Aviation Expertise and Developing the Next Generation of Professionals

Alongside its efforts to strengthen aircraft maintenance standards, Pattaya Group recognises human resource development as a fundamental driver of the aviation industry’s long-term growth.

Pattaya Aviation Training Center Co., Ltd. (PATC) recently hosted an exclusive launch event for its Boeing 737-800 Fixed-Base Simulator at its training centre on the 8th floor of Cosmo Office Park, Muang Thong Thani.

The event was presided over by Mr Tosaporn Asunee, Chairman of Pattaya Group, and Mr Nat Bunyawichayakanon, Chief Executive Officer of Pattaya Aviation Training Center Co., Ltd. They welcomed distinguished guests and participants, who had the opportunity to experience the Boeing 737-800 cockpit environment first-hand.

Mr Tosaporn Asunee, Chairman of Pattaya Group, said that introducing the Boeing 737-800 Simulator at PATC marked another important step in advancing aviation education. By bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical experience in a simulated environment, the facility enables learners and aviation enthusiasts to become more familiar with cockpit operations, aircraft systems and real-world operating procedures. The initiative reflects the Group’s commitment to supporting the comprehensive development of Thailand’s aviation industry.

Mr Nat Bunyawichayakanon, Chief Executive Officer of Pattaya Aviation Training Center Co., Ltd., added that PATC sees the simulator as more than just a training device. It is intended to serve as a platform that connects knowledge with practical application, allowing learners to develop their thinking, learning and decision-making skills in a simulated environment. It also helps build a strong foundation and confidence before they progress to more advanced levels of aviation training.

PATC’s Boeing 737-800 Simulator is a Fixed-Base flight simulator that recreates the aircraft’s flight deck environment and incorporates key components, including cockpit controls and instrument panels, the Flight Management System (FMS), autopilot, flight controls and throttle. It also simulates the full flight sequence, from start-up and taxiing to take-off, cruise, approach and landing, supported by a Visual Flight Environment system to provide a more immersive and realistic learning experience.

PATC aims to make the facility accessible to a broad range of users, including aviation professionals, aspiring industry entrants, children, young people, school pupils, university students and members of the public. Through this initiative, the centre seeks to make aviation learning more accessible while giving the next generation an opportunity to discover their interests and potential in the field.

The Boeing 737-800 Simulator experience is currently available for booking, with prices starting from THB 3,500. PATC also welcomes enquiries from educational institutions and organisations interested in arranging activities or aviation learning experiences.
