Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC), Thailand’s leading integrated lifestyle real estate group, has signed two hotel management agreements with Meliá Hotels International, Spain’s largest hotel brand, which is well-known for its beachfront properties in Europe, to develop two hotels in Pattaya under the Meliá, and Paradisus brands – world-renowned, all-inclusive luxury brand – that will redefine luxury hospitality in one of Thailand’s most iconic beachside destinations. The Meliá Pattaya City, the brand’s flagship and pet friendly hotel, along with the Paradisus Jomtien Resort, an unmatched luxurious all-inclusive resort, will mark the first time that these global luxury brands have graced Pattaya and will strengthen the resort city’s reputation as a leading luxury and sustainable tourism destination.

AWC’s strategic collaboration with Meliá Hotels International reinforces the Company’s commitment to the strategically located beachfront destination. The partnership expands AWC’s diverse high-end hospitality and lifestyle portfolio and aligns with the Company’s GROWTH-LED strategy, while catering to the increasing demand of the fast-growing Pattaya and Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).

Mrs. Wallapa Traisorat, President and CEO of Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC) said, “AWC and Meliá share a commitment to sustainable tourism. We are delighted to expand our portfolio and strengthen Pattaya’s position as a global luxury lifestyle destination by introducing the flagship Meliá Hotels & Resorts brand and Paradisus by Meliá all-inclusive luxury brand to this vibrant beachfront city. Pattaya’s unique positioning – with its close proximity to Bangkok, exciting activities, a variety of attractions, renowned seafood and international cuisine, and vibrant cultural scene – combined with Meliá’s extensive beachfront resort expertise, creates a special offering for global travelers seeking an unforgettable experience as well as strengthening Pattaya as a global sustainable tourism destination.”

“The Meliá Pattaya City, located within AWC’s mega mixed-use Aquatique, will strengthen the area to a new level of luxury with a world-renowned hotel operator and a variety of activities, while Paradisus Jomtien Resort will be one of the first luxury all-inclusive hotels, transforming and enhancing Pattaya into another luxury destination for leisure and MICE groups. This collaboration will create significant value for the surrounding community and contribute to the Thai economy.”

Mr. Gabriel Escarrer Jaume, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Meliá Hotels International, reflected on the expansion, emphasizing, “Our strategic partnership with AWC has been pivotal in our joint commitment to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences in Thailand. Commencing with our initial collaboration, featuring three operational hotels – Meliá Koh Samui, Meliá Chiang Mai, and the recently opened INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit – we are thrilled to unveil the addition of two new properties in Pattaya, namely Meliá Pattaya City and the brand new Paradisus Jomtien Resort. This marks the much-anticipated debut of our luxurious Paradisus by Meliá brand in Asia. This represents a significant milestone in bolstering our presence in this dynamic market, with Meliá Bangkok in the pipeline, thus bringing the total number of properties under our partnership with AWC to six in Thailand.”
