The new Flying Spur Speed is focused on driving performance, powered by the new Ultra-Performance Hybrid engine that combines power and efficiency. In electric mode (EV), the car can travel more than 76 kilometers, making it ideal for emissions-free driving in urban areas. The CO2 emissions are reduced by 90% compared to the previous Speed model. When exhilarating performance is desired, the V8 hybrid engine provides a combined output of 782 horsepower, 147 horsepower more than its predecessor, allowing for impressive acceleration of 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds.

The Ultra-Performance Hybrid powertrain seamlessly combines a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 600 horsepower and a 190-horsepower electric motor, coupled with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. In sport mode, it delivers a staggering 782 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque, with the electric motor providing instant torque for a thrilling driving experience. The new Flying Spur Speed offers 11% more torque than the previous W12 Speed, with a total output increase of 19% from 659 to 782 horsepower, making it the most powerful sedan in Bentley’s lineup.

The new V8 engine operates without a traditional vacuum system, achieving efficient combustion with a fuel injection pressure of 350 bars (up from 200 bars). The electric motor mitigates turbo lag, allowing for an efficient power delivery system. In EV mode, the E-motor produces 190 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque, sufficient for city driving. The 25.9 kWh battery allows for a maximum electric range of 76 kilometers, and when combined with the V8 engine, the Flying Spur can cover over 829 kilometers. In full electric mode, it can achieve a top speed of 140 km/h with 75% throttle.

The powertrain intelligently manages energy flow based on selected modes: EV mode, electric boost mode, regenerative braking, and charging mode, allowing the engine to power the wheels while charging the battery.
