The full player line-up was revealed today at the official press conference of the Reignwood Icons of Football event held this weekend in Bangkok. The first-ever Icons Series event in Asia, hosted at Reignwood Park, promises world class entertainment and action. Taking place 1-2 March 2025, this event brings football and golf fans closer to their favorite icons in a festival of entertainment like never before. Two teams of 12 will see Lee Westwood captain Team England, made up of Icons including Paul Scholes, Robbie Fowler and John Terry, take on Sergio Garcia’s Team World with the likes of Luis Figo, Gianfranco Zola and Carlos Tevez.

US$10M Swing: Footballing greats will attempt a once-in-a-lifetime shot at Robinswood Golf Course’s signature 12th hole, with a record-breaking US$10 million prize pot on the line.

A festival of entertainment will welcome thousands of hospitality and general admission fans to the world class venue for a weekend of action that includes live music, food & drink, meet and greet opportunities and the hotly anticipated golf.

The stage is set for the Reignwood Icons of Football, the world’s most exciting crossover sports event, taking place on March 1-2, 2025, at the prestigious Robinswood Golf Course in Reignwood Park, Bangkok. In a first for Asia, this globally televised spectacle will see football’s greatest icons swap boots for clubs as Team England, led by Lee Westwood, faces off against Sergio Garcia’s Team World in a high-stakes matchplay golf showdown.

With the final lineup now complete, football and golf fans alike can expect to witness a thrilling contest as iconic footballers take their competitiveness to the fairways. Uniting sports like never before, the Reignwood Icons of Football will see global football icons who have won at the highest levels of the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, and international football battle it out in a 10-hole matchplay format. The US$10M Swing: The Richest Hole in Golf

During the tournament, each Icon will take on the US$10M Swing, otherwise known as The Richest Hole in Golf. Played as an additional scoring hole on Saturday, all players will tee off in front of excited fans on the signature 12th hole at Robinswood Golf Course, a breathtaking 170-yard par-3, for a once-in-a-lifetime shot at history. With an unprecedented US$10 million prize pot on the line, this will be the biggest single prize ever awarded on a golf hole if an Icon makes a hole-in-one. A percentage of winnings will go to the player’s chosen charity and the Icons Foundation, which supports MND.
