Mekhong launches CSR campaign “Thai Spirit At Home” to rally Thai spirit of fighting and compassion to help the nation through COVID-19 crisis.

The campaign is expected to generate additional income for those affected and in response to the growing trend of house parties.

The Spirit of Thailand, a homegrown brand of Thai liquor that has stood the test of time for more than 80 years, introduces a unique CSR campaign to help professionals in the food and beverage industry and hospitality industry whose livelihoods have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The campaign – Thai Spirit At Home – helps consumers create a house party of their dreams, serving the new normal lifestyle while also generating additional income for professionals who have been impacted financially.

Ms. Sansiri Yodmeungcharoen, Assistant Marketing Director of Thaibev Marketing Company Limited, said

“The COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc around the world and in Thailand, not just in terms of public health, but severe economic impact a result of lockdowns. Several industries have been adversely affected, especially the hospitality and tourism industry and the food and beverage industry. Data shows that more than one million workers in the hotel industry have been laid off. The F&B industry has also been impacted badly. Mekhong, as a Thai brand that has survived several crises throughout more than eight decades, realizes the role it can play in helping Thais through this crisis together. As a result, the Thai Spirit At Home campaign aims to generate additional income for professionals such as bartenders, waiters, chefs, and musicians who have either lost their jobs or a salary cut for months on end since the lockdown. This campaign also caters to the rising trend of at-home dining and house parties due to health concerns.”

The Thai Spirit At Home campaign connects consumers wishing to enjoy a party at home, especially during the seasonal period, to have access to quality, professional services that make their dream party a reality. End-to-end services cover party theme creation through to exclusive catering and bartending, as well as live music. The service is geared towards the new normal way of living in which people go out less in order to avoid crowded places since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak.

“Mekhong is proud to serve as a bridge between consumers and professionals who have been financially hurt by the pandemic. We will continue to provide as much support as possible and celebrate the unique spirit of fighting and compassion Thai people possess.
