Porsche Thailand and ONNEX by SCG Set a New Benchmark, Achieving LEED Gold Certification
First Automotive Brand in Thailand to Attain the Standard

Porsche has become the first automotive brand in Thailand to achieve LEED Gold certification, with support from ONNEX by SCG. This milestone reflects Porsche Thailand’s strong commitment to sustainable resource management across both its operations and business partnerships.
To date, two Porsche showrooms in Thailand Porsche Centre Pattaya and Porsche Centre Bangna have been awarded LEED Gold certification, with plans to extend this standard to additional locations in the future.
Porsche Thailand has set a new benchmark in the automotive industry by becoming the first car brand in the country to achieve the globally recognized LEED Gold (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification for two facilities, in collaboration with ONNEX by SCG.
Porsche Centre Pattaya and Porsche Centre Bangna have both received this certification, reflecting Porsche Thailand’s commitment to responsible energy and resource management, as well as long-term environmental stewardship.
Porsche is committed to playing a proactive role in shaping the future of mobility while balancing environmental and social considerations. This vision is reflected in the design of its showrooms and service centers across its dealer network, with a focus on energy-efficient buildings and the integration of renewable energy solutions, including solar power and water management systems.

Michael Vetter, Managing Director of Porsche Thailand, stated:
“Porsche Thailand continues to advance its business practices across all aspects—from design to operations—placing sustainability at the core. Becoming the first automotive brand in Thailand to achieve LEED Gold certification for two showrooms marks a significant milestone. Developing energy-efficient showrooms and service centers not only reduces environmental impact but also aligns with the values of our customers, who increasingly consider sustainability as a key factor in their decision-making.”

Porsche Centre Pattaya, operated by Sime Darby Auto Sports Ltd., is designed under the latest “Destination Porsche” concept to elevate the customer experience and serve Thailand’s Eastern region. The facility incorporates energy-efficient design features, including thermal insulation materials, water management systems, and solar panels capable of generating approximately 50% of the building’s electricity consumption. The showroom also maximizes the use of natural lighting to enhance the overall environment.

Porsche Centre Bangna, operated by Stuttgart Automotive (Thailand) Co., Ltd., is located on Bangna–Trad Road (Km. 12) on a site spanning over 12,800 square meters. Designed under the same “Destination Porsche” concept, it serves as a full-service center capable of handling more than 1,000 vehicles per month. The facility emphasizes sustainability through energy-saving systems, water management solutions, solar energy integration, and the selection of building materials that prioritize occupant well-being.
The development of Porsche showrooms and service centers in Thailand to LEED Gold standards has been supported by ONNEX by SCG, which serves as a comprehensive sustainability and green building certification consultant. Its scope includes high-performance building design, energy efficiency optimization, greenhouse gas reduction, and the enhancement of occupant well-being—reflecting Porsche’s long-term commitment to responsible and sustainable development.

Bovornsanti Navarach, Managing Director of SCG Building and Living Care Consulting Co., Ltd. under the ONNEX by SCG brand, stated:
“ONNEX by SCG serves as a consultant in developing building strategies aligned with LEED standards and the organization’s ESG goals. We focus on high-performance building design, reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, and improving occupant well-being—enabling Porsche Thailand to move forward toward sustainability in a tangible and measurable way.”
