Looking to get away from the general air of malaise in the city?

The new Hyatt Regency Koh Samui might have exactly what you need.

Wake to Samui sunrises and breathtaking sea views

Located in the vibrant area of North Chaweng with direct access to a semi-private beach, eight minutes from the airport, Hyatt Regency Koh Samui is built around over 600 protected Yang Na and coconut trees. Energize your body and mind in a gallery where nature—including stunning sea views—is the art on display.

Hyatt Regency Koh Samui is set to open in July, this year.

The hotel is located in North Chaweng, around a 10-minute drive from the airport.

This 140-room resort is set amid eight acres of land on a stretch of private coastline in the north-eastern corner of the island.

Hyatt Regency Koh Samui has a range of room options, ranging from one king bed, two twin beds, one king bed with ocean view deluxe to suite accommodation categories like one bedroom regency suite, one bedroom ocean front pool villa and one-bedroom presidential pool villa.

The resort is designed in collaboration between three of Thailand’s top design names — architects The Office of Bangkok Architects (OBA), interiors specialist August Design Consultant and acclaimed landscaper PLandscape (PLA).

Bar and restaurant options include an all-day dining Yangna restaurant serving international cuisine, SESUN Grill and Beach Bar offering fresh seafood and premium meat, and Cobalt bar.

The resort also advertises what it describes as “the largest pool area on the island,” with five free-form pools flowing down to the beach, and four indoor and outdoor dining venues.

The Hyatt Regency Koh Samui is set to open shortly before the island embarks on a so-called sandbox tourism initiative on July 15.

Like the Phuket sandbox, Koh Samui’s plan promises quarantine-free travel around the island, plus the freedom to take “sealed” routes to Koh Phangan and Koh Tao. Visitors arriving from overseas will have to spend 14 days on the islands before they can travel elsewhere in Thailand.

To mark its opening, the Hyatt Regency Koh Samui is currently offering a limited “plan your adventure” package. Guests who stay two nights will get a third night free when they book through the resort’s website.

The offer is valid for stays from July 5 to Sep 30, 2021.

Rates currently start at B4,000/night (B3,800/night for World of Hyatt members).
