Wonderfruit is fast approaching in just a couple of days from now nearly 20,000 Wonderers descend upon The Fields at Siam Country Club.

Described by some as Coachella meets Burning Man in the tropics, others insist Wonderfruit Festival is a one-of-a-kind transformational happening pushing for social and environmental change in Asia. Yet most people seem to think it’s a bit of both.

Compassion for the Earth

Wonderfruit strives to be an environmentally friendly festival, promoting and using sustainable living methods whenever it can. All the drinking water from its refilling stations, for example, is filtered through an industrial, commercial-grade system from a nearby natural lake. Bamboo, a native and abundant plant in Thailand, is used in many of the structures and decor, which are all subsequently either recycled or repurposed for next year’s festival. Additionally, Wonderfruit mandates that food and drinks must be served in only biodegradable or recyclable tableware. Despite these efforts on the festival’s part, attendees are still expected to do their part and leave no trace.

Over five days Wonderfruit Festival 2019 hosts a carefully curated mix of offerings ranging from genre-bending musicians to art installations, exhibitions and workshops on sustainability via wellness classes on yoga and meditation, food made on-site by award-winning chefs, and much more, five-star feasts and wellness are of equal importance as music.
Arrive early and stay late to make the most out of Wonderfruit 2019.
