A Masterpiece of Contemporary Oriental Art Residence and Timeless Legacy Above Bai’e Tan (28 January 2026, Hong Kong) Steve Leung Design Group unveils One Swan Bay, Guangzhou, an exceptional residence that reinterprets contemporary oriental legacy. Rising above the timeless water, commerce, and culture of Guangzhou’s millennia-old Bai’e Tan, the project achieves this through refined design and exquisite craftsmanship.

Situated in the core area of Guangzhou, One Swan Bay commands a sweeping view of the magnificent river scenery where three waterways converge. Facing the Canton Tower and the East and West Pagodas across the river, the development capturesthe delicate grace of Lingnan’s mountains and waters alongside the resplendent prosperity of the modern metropolis, emerging as a contemporary residence that embodies the spirit of distinguished families and the enduring memory of the city.

Designed collaboratively by Steve Leung Designers (SLD) and Steve Leung Lifestyle (SLL), the project upholds SLD’s enduring philosophy of contemporary oriental design. The design translates the flow of ancient waterways and the essence of Lingnan’s culture into a contemporary aesthetic. Transcending mere materiality, the integrated artistic approach balances minimalist modernity with expressive natural imagery, forming a distinctive and sophisticated urban texture. Here, historical and contemporary elements harmonize, showcasing the charm and depth of the Post‑Lingnan style.

The Sky Club House – A Dialogue Between the Three Rivers and Space
Perched on the top floor, the Sky Club House is the iconic landmark of One Swan Bay, unfolding an extraordinary 270‑degree panoramic view over the Pearl River and Guangzhou’s vibrant skyline. SLD seamlessly weaves the majestic imagery of the three rivers into the spatial narrative, immersing guests in the experience from the very first step.
Upon arrival, the ground‑floor lobby unfolds like a carefully crafted poem, where natural light, river views, and artistic installations echo one another. The spatial rhythm reveals itself gradually, layer by layer.

The lift lobby sets the stage like a drama opening scene. A sleek, translucent stone lift, light as floating on the river, welcomes guests into the water-inspired story of Bai’e Tan. Upstairs, three curved grey-blue walls ripple like the Pearl River, gently guiding the way. As the doors slide open, the river view stretches out like a living scroll, revealing the boundless beauty of sky, and water river view unfolds like a living scroll, where sky and water merge into boundless beauty.

The Sky Club House features wave‑shaped blue ceramic walls, a black mirror‑finish ceiling and Bulgari Black Stone flooring, creating a contemporary yet poetic atmosphere. Designed to host concerts, jewellery showcases and private events, it achieves a serene sense of luxury through a blend of golden light and cool blue tones.

Tucked beyond a turn, the reception area is anchored by a magnificent gold-leaf mural on the feature wall, a collaborative creation by the Steve Leung Lifestyle (SLL) team and master artisans. Drawing inspiration from “Panorama of Guangzhou Port”, hailed as the “Along the River During the Qingming Festival”, the work revives the historic commercial bustle of the Pearl River through engraving and hand-painted craftsmanship, forging a profound dialogue between historical cultural heritage and contemporary design.

The Cantilevered Unit — A Family Sanctuary in the Modern Metropolis
As one of the signature unit types at One Swan Bay, the Cantilevered Unit features a luxurious layout plan of four bedrooms, two living rooms and four bathrooms with river views on three sides. A black‑and‑white palette anchors the calm foundation, while red accents add vibrancy and warmth. The lift lobby continues the narrative with walnut veneer, Bulgari Black Stone and Camus White flooring, echoing the refined textures of the public spaces. At the same time, a softly lit bench and soft lighting create a welcoming ambience.

The spacious 120m² living-dining space unfolds a “river-view salon” for the entire residence. A wave-patterned wall of Dover White Stone translates the river’s rhythm into form, conducting a silent exchange with the 270° panorama. A gradient burgundy carpet subtly defines zones, creating distinct areas for family gatherings and quiet relaxation within the open layout. The configuration of furniture and kitchen cabinetry is rooted in an oriental sensibility, featuring minimalist, modern brands with refined textures to create spaces that balance functionality with aesthetics. Steve Leung x HC28 sofas marry sleek modern silhouettes with Eastern warmth, while Italy’s Arclinea cabinetry and premium luxury stone elevate the culinary corner into a space where poetry and refinement coexist.

The master bedroom pairs an off-white and wood palette with vibrant checkered wallpaper, while its ensuite bathroom, clad in Red Jasper Stone overlooks the surging river. The secondary bedroom boasts a peaceful riverside work nook, where the horizon blurs river and sky into a serene retreat.

The Standard Unit — Tranquil Comfort with Natural Elegance
The Standard Unit also offers the four‑bedroom, two‑living room, four‑bathroom layout and features an over 30‑metre L‑shaped sky terrace. This expansive outdoor edge frames sweeping river vistas while flooding the interior with natural light.
Inside, walnut wood and Di Garl Stone set a refined tone. The living-dining space is anchored by an avatar green stone TV wall, with the terrace extending the area and framing the river view. An open Western‑Chinese kitchen and dual dining layout cater to both everyday living and entertaining. Soft grey walls, pale green furnishings and timber floors create a soothing, restful environment.

A Timeless Legacy — The Convergence of History, Culture and Modern Life
One Swan Bay transcends residence to become an expression of contemporary family values and a refined way of living. Every choice of material, spatial layout and artwork embodies SLD’s interpretation of a timeless legacy — where history meets modernity, and cultural legacy converges with contemporary design. From the bold texture of the Cantilevered Units to the understated elegance of the Standard Units, One Swan Bay seamlessly weaves river views, water veins, and cultural depth into modern living aesthetics, setting a new benchmark for urban residences.
