TAT announces New Travel Promotion focusing on the ‘North East’

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) last week unveiled their latest program ‘Check In Isan’ focusing on the North East regions of Thailand in a bid to promote domestic travel and build revenue for smaller communities and boost local economy’s.

 

 

TAT regional Director Somchai Chompoonoi explained that the program is to promote tourism to the northeast region and disperse revenue from travelers to local areas.

The activity focuses on Thai travelers using the abundance of hotels and amenities we have and also we want Thai people to take a break from work and slow down and enjoy life.

The program was launched with a raffle that will allow travelers to use their tickets to vie for prizes.

Tickets filled out with personal details can be dropped into 39 receptacles set up at the nation’s airports, train stations and bus terminals for a chance to win discounts from the TAT and its partners. More information can be found at i-san.tourismthailand.org.
