Transforming In-Flight Entertainment into a Wellness-Inspired Travel Experience That Delivers Practical Health Knowledge for Passengers Throughout Their Journey

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI), in collaboration with VITALIFE Wellness Center and Bumrungrad International Hospital, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop a new format of in-flight entertainment (IFE) programming that brings together travel, lifestyle and health knowledge.

The collaboration aims to elevate the in-flight experience beyond entertainment by inspiring passengers to take a more proactive approach to their health, while showcasing the unique appeal of Thailand through a fresh perspective.

The MoU signing was attended by Wich Kijjatorn, Director of Customer Service and Marketing, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Phonlakit Teekakirakul, Chief Executive Officer of VITALIFE Wellness Center and Esperance, at THAI’s Head Office on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road on 13 August 2026.

Discovering Thailand Through “Healthy Destinations”

The collaboration is developed under the concept of “Healthy Destinations,” presented through a special IFE series that invites passengers to discover a new perspective on Thailand through destinations including Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket and Udon Thani.

Beyond their appeal as beautiful tourist destinations, these cities offer diverse perspectives on Thai lifestyles, culture and nature—elements that can contribute to wellbeing and quality of life.

The partnership goes beyond promoting healthy lifestyles through Thailand’s destinations, extending into a more holistic approach to wellness. The special programming will introduce sound healing as part of the in-flight experience, while incorporating practical health tips that passengers can apply during their journey, including guidance on maintaining wellbeing while travelling by air.

The initiative provides passengers with an opportunity to begin taking a more holistic approach to their health from the very first step of their journey.

Bringing Wellness Inspiration On Board

Wich Kijjatorn, Director of Customer Service and Marketing, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, said:

“Thai Airways is committed to enhancing the passenger journey in every dimension. Our collaboration with VITALIFE Wellness Center and Bumrungrad International Hospital will enrich our in-flight entertainment offering with diverse, high-quality content that showcases the appeal of Thailand while providing inspiration for better health and wellbeing. We aim to create a more meaningful travel experience that responds to the needs of today’s travellers.”

Asst. Prof. Dr. Phonlakit Teekakirakul, Chief Executive Officer of VITALIFE Wellness Center and Esperance, and Chief Science Officer of Bumrungrad International Hospital and VITALIFE Wellness Center, said:

“At VITALIFE Wellness Center, we believe that good health does not begin when we become ill. It begins with consistent self-care as part of everyday life. This collaboration represents another step in bringing knowledge of Scientific Wellness and Preventive Healthcare to people at a time when they are particularly open to new inspiration—during their journey. We hope the programme will inspire passengers to return home with a fresh perspective on how they can take better care of their health.”

The collaboration reflects a shared vision among Thai Airways, VITALIFE Wellness Center and Bumrungrad International Hospital to expand the role of in-flight entertainment from simply a source of entertainment into a platform for sharing knowledge, inspiring positive lifestyle changes and adding greater value to the travel experience of passengers from around the world.

Through the partnership, the three organizations aim to create an engaging and meaningful in-flight experience that connects travel, Thai culture and wellness, while encouraging passengers to make health and wellbeing an integral part of their journey.
