The Company the goes from strength to strength

With things gradually creeping back to pre-covid times, PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards was also back on track and full to capacity.

Friday 25th November at The Athenee Hotel, Bangkok hosted this year’s 17th annual event celebrating the best of the best in Thailand’s property field. For the Eastern Seaboard, and all surrounding areas, The Riviera Group scooped the award ‘Best Condominium’ that went to the outstanding ‘The Riviera Monaco’. Finishing at the beginning of this year, the project truly demonstrating how The Riviera Group go from strength to strength.

The events Host perhaps stated it best when he introduced the award.

“Exciting, daring and brilliantly bold, The Riviera Group trailblazes catwalk style design in Pattaya with incredible imagination, creativity and bravery this entails is inspirational and promises to create waves in the condominium development.  This may well shape real estate possibility and positively impact tourist destination across the Eastern Seaboard with a can-do sense of panache.”

Quite a plaudit to say the least, but to be frank, quite accurately put as if like us at REm, you have seen first-hand each of their projects and how they keep on getting more trend-setting, the comment was for sure accurate and on point.

A new category was also up for grabs on the evening “Best Developer Eastern Seaboard” and to no surprise, deservedly ‘The Riviera Group’ won this too. This was a more prestigious award for the property Group as it encapsulates the company’s achievements and projects overall, not just a single project.  So not a bad evening for them and the team who clearly were all delighted on the evening. Winston and Sukanya Gale, the owners were not there, instead they were by unfortunate timing travelling in Europe. But two dining tables full of their most senior team members made sure they created enough noise and excitement for the evening with different members taking it in turn to go on stage together and receive the awards and say a few words.

Historically since 2010, The Riviera Group has now won 12 Thailand Property Awards, quite a horde of these highly acclaimed and desirable awards over a decade long period.  We asked Winston about the awards and why he still enters them after having already ‘bagged’ so many; “A few reasons make me keep coming back and seeing if we can win. Its great recognition firstly for the team, they make it all happen, it’s a sign to them we do something right, however hard or crazy it sometimes seems and the way we push the limits. Its good also for confidence in the market place. You can’t win awards and do it over many years if you’re not reliable, deeply established and well financed and generally doing many things right.  Buyers can recognize all these areas as well as the agents who work hard to help us sell the condos. For them, the job can be very time-consuming and costly in some instances, it’s pretty useful when you don’t need to hard sell a brand.”  Rem – So Brand is important to you then, in Pattaya and in this market today? “Brand and brand awareness has always been a big thing for me, it is for most people, it’s just a subminimal thing for most, for me it’s all done purposefully.”

I guess this then perhaps provides a heads-up that they will be back next year for another go at some more awards.

As we speak ‘The Riviera Ocean Drive’ located on the highest part of Jomtien’s 2nd road is now finishing and receiving inspections. It seems fair to predict this latest project may well be in the running for next year’s 2023 PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards.
