Qatar Airways’ first direct non-stop flight to the holiday destination of Pattaya touched down at U-Tapao, Rayong, Pattaya International Airport yesterday.
Currently, Qatar Airways Airways operates 64 flights a week to Thailand, this is its fifth aviation route.
Flight QR828 landed at U-Tapao International Airport at 6:30 am.
His Excellency Mr. Soonthorn Chaiyindeepum, Thai Ambassador to the State of Qatar, travelled on board the inaugural flight with Qatar Airways Senior Vice President Asia Pacific, Mr. Marwan Koleilat, from the airline’s five-star hub, Hamad International Airport (HIA).
Akbar Al Bahr, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways said,
“We are pleased to see Qatar Airways. Airways is the first Middle East airline to offer direct flights to Pattaya. After the service to Chiang Mai in December. It will increase the number of flights to 6 flights per day. To Bangkok the direct flight to Pattaya will further strengthen ties between Thailand and the state of Qatar.”
