WeWork, the world’s leading space-as-a-service platform, today announced the appointment of Samit Chopra as Managing Director, Pacific, overseeing key markets including Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Chopra will report to Eugen Miropolski, COO International.

Chopra brings to WeWork over two decades of extensive leadership experience in real estate, with a proven track record of driving strategic expansion and meaningful growth to capture and create value for stakeholders. Based in Singapore, Chopra will be responsible for WeWork Pacific’s P&L management, go-to-market strategy, sales leadership, growth and innovation, and talent development.

Chopra has over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry. Most recently, Chopra was responsible for aligning the multi-brand flexible solutions with the evolving portfolio needs of the enterprise and corporate clients across the Middle East & Asia Pacific region at a global workplace company. He also held senior leadership roles in a global real estate services provider, focusing on expanding their international business across Americas, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific regions, leading high-performance teams in winning and overseeing major international projects for key clients such as Amazon, Apple, Qualcomm, Broadcom, MetLife, Cisco, Microsoft, Deutsche Bank and UHG.

Chopra holds a MBA from the Institute of Management Technology, and Bachelor of Commerce from Delhi University. He also attended the Advanced Management Program in Real Estate from Harvard University and the Advanced Data Analytics Program from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
