McLaren, the British manufacturer of supercars and hypercars, has launched the ultra-exclusive “McLaren W1” – the ultimate supercar that embodies speed, power, and performance, continuing the legendary legacy of the F1 and P1 models. The W1 is designed to deliver the ultimate driving experience, showcasing futuristic design, unparalleled performance, and cutting-edge technology never seen before. Only 399 units will be produced worldwide, and owners will also receive the exclusive opportunity to own a limited-edition “Richard Mille RM 65-01 McLaren W1” watch.

The “McLaren W1” is the latest ultimate car model, combining the legacy of the McLaren F1 and McLaren P1. It is hailed as the pinnacle of supercar engineering, featuring state-of-the-art performance and a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged engine (MHP-8) paired with an electric motor. The combined power output is 1,275 horsepower with a peak torque of 1,340 Nm. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, with a top speed of 350 km/h. The car is equipped with an 8-speed DCT automatic transmission and an E-Reverse system (which uses the electric motor for reverse). The battery capacity is 1.384 kWh, providing an electric-only range of 2.6 kilometers. The car weighs 1,399 kilograms, with a power-to-weight ratio of 911 horsepower per ton (the best in its class). Vehicle dimensions are: Length: 4,635 mm, Width: 2,191 mm, Height: 1,182 mm, Wheelbase: 2,680 mm.

Additionally, the McLaren W1 features an Active Long Tail rear spoiler integrated into the car’s body, which increases downforce and improves aerodynamics. The Active Chassis Control III system provides active suspension management, allowing the car’s settings to adjust based on road conditions and driving modes, such as Race mode, which optimizes the car for track driving. The E-Module system powers the electric-only functions, including reverse and engine start.

For safety, the McLaren W1 is equipped with McLaren Carbon Ceramic Racing+ (MCCR+), a carbon-ceramic brake system that has been track-tested and features a 390mm brake disc with an additional layer of ceramic for enhanced durability and performance. The front brakes use 6-piston calipers, and the rear features 4-piston calipers, both of which are monobloc designs. Additionally, the car’s electric handbrake is integrated into the rear calipers, reducing weight and increasing system strength.

The McLaren W1’s design is inspired by the 1997 F1 GTR race car, incorporating Ground Effect Aerodynamics for improved downforce and stability. Importantly, the W1 is a limited-edition model, with only 399 units to be produced worldwide.

Moreover, McLaren has partnered with luxury watchmaker Richard Mille to create a new milestone in both the automotive and watchmaking worlds. The RM 65-01 McLaren W1 watch, a limited-edition masterpiece, combines futuristic design with a sophisticated mechanical movement. Powered by the RMAC4 movement, which operates at 5Hz, it provides precision timing accurate to the millisecond, making every driving moment meaningful. The watch features a titanium-grade 5 movement visible through a transparent dial, and it is designed to be the perfect companion for McLaren W1 owners.

There will only be 500 units of the RM 65-01 McLaren W1 produced worldwide, with the first 399 units reserved exclusively for McLaren W1 owners, who can choose a watch that matches the chassis number of their car. The remaining watches will be available through Richard Mille stores. The RM 65-01 McLaren W1 is not just a watch – it is a work of art that reflects the luxury and uniqueness of its owner.
