Global new-energy vehicle brand iCAUR, part of Chery Group, makes its official debut in Thailand with the V27 REEV, featuring Golden Range Extender technology and a starting price of THB 999,900

iCAUR, the global new-energy vehicle brand under Chery Group, has officially entered the Thai market, announcing its business direction in Thailand and unveiling the pricing of its first model, the iCAUR V27 REEV, starting at THB 999,900. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on 1 October 2026.

The launch introduces iCAUR’s Premium Classic Boxy SUV concept, combining distinctive classic-inspired design with REEV (Range Extended Electric Vehicle) technology. The result is an EV-like driving experience with added flexibility and confidence for longer journeys, designed to suit the lifestyles of today’s consumers.

The global Boxy SUV segment continues to show strong growth, with sales reaching approximately 2.5 million units in 2025 and projected to reach 7.5 million units by 2030, representing an average annual growth rate of more than 30%.

This trend reflects growing consumer interest in the Boxy SUV format and points to further opportunities for the segment in Thailand.

Against this backdrop, iCAUR is entering Thailand with a new alternative in the premium Boxy SUV segment, combining distinctive design, practical functionality and REEV technology to provide greater flexibility and confidence for long-distance travel.

For Thailand, iCAUR will focus on two key priorities: expanding its nationwide dealer network and strengthening after-sales services to support growing demand and build long-term customer confidence.

Flagship iCAUR V27 REEV Makes Its Thai Debut

iCAUR enters Thailand with the iCAUR V27 REEV, a D-SUV powered by REEV technology and developed around the “Timeless in Motion” philosophy.

The model’s character is expressed through five key attributes: “i” for Intelligence, representing intelligent technology and REEV power; “C” for Character, reflecting distinctive, timeless design; “A” for Ambience, creating a refined travel experience aligned with modern lifestyles; “U” for Unbound, representing freedom and versatility; and “R” for Resilience, delivering capability across different roads and conditions.

Intelligence: Golden Range Extender Technology and 19 ADAS Functions

iCAUR’s Golden Range Extender technology uses an electric motor as the primary source of propulsion, while the engine functions as a generator to supply electricity to the drive system.

With one litre of fuel capable of generating more than 3.71 kWh of electricity, the system delivers an EV-style driving experience while providing additional flexibility for longer journeys.

Drivers can choose the most suitable energy strategy for different lifestyles — from using electric power for daily urban commutes to combining electric power and fuel for longer weekend journeys.

The V27 REEV offers up to 165 km of electric driving range under the NEDC standard, with a combined electric-and-fuel driving range of up to 1,000 km.

The vehicle supports DC fast charging from 30% to 80% in approximately 15 minutes, with DC charging capability of up to around 100 kW, as well as V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) external power supply of up to 6 kW.

The Golden Range Extender system also incorporates a Power-Reserve Strategy, designed to manage energy across different driving scenarios, including urban EV driving, acceleration and overtaking, long-distance travel, battery preservation and energy recovery during deceleration.

Five energy management modes are available:

• Forced EV – electric-only driving
• EV Priority – prioritises electric power, with the engine activated when required
• Hybrid Mode – automatically balances electric and fuel power
• Fuel Priority – designed for longer journeys while preserving battery power for later use
• Forced Charging – uses the engine to generate electricity and charge the battery in advance

The iCAUR V27 REEV also features 19 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) functions, including Auto Parking Assist (APA), Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Departure Warning/Lane Keeping Assist (LDW/LKA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), a full suite of airbags and Driver Monitoring System (DMS).

Character: Classic Boxy SUV Design with a Contemporary Edge

The iCAUR V27 REEV embodies a distinctive Classic Boxy SUV design, featuring round LED headlights, separate turn signals and large wheel arches.

Its robust stance is enhanced by a long wheelbase, side steps, roof rails, squared-off side mirrors and 21-inch alloy wheels.

Additional features include a side-hinged tailgate with electric suction closing, an externally mounted spare tyre, distinctive Brick Taillights, a rear spoiler, a concealed 360-degree camera, a rear wiper and automatic vehicle locking and unlocking as the driver approaches or moves away from the vehicle.

The V27 REEV measures 5,045 mm in length, 1,976 mm in width and 1,894 mm in height, with a 2,900 mm wheelbase, creating a strong road presence while maximising interior space.

Ambience: Interstellar Cockpit Designed Around Modern Lifestyles

Inside, the V27 REEV adopts an “Interstellar Cockpit” concept that combines classic design elements with user-focused technology, creating a distinctive Future Classic environment.

The interior was recognised with the Best Interior Design Award in the Premium Car category at the Torino Automotive Design Award 2026 (TADA 2026).

A key feature is the overhead “Star Island”, incorporating a 1.4-metre Dual Skyview Roof, multi-colour adjustable ambient lighting and dedicated mounting points for tablets and other accessories, creating an open and versatile cabin.

The interior features soft-touch materials, a 15.4-inch central display, an 8.88-inch driver information display, wireless smartphone charging, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, one-touch power windows, rear air vents and USB ports.

The Smart Cockpit offers dedicated modes for camping, relaxation, pets, car washing and welcoming the driver, together with shortcut menus, a 540-degree surround-view system and a 3D vehicle visualisation.

Entertainment is provided by a Pioneer sound system with up to 15 speakers, including a subwoofer.

The front seats feature six-way electric adjustment and ventilation. The driver’s seat includes memory settings and a Welcome Seat function, while the front seats can recline fully to create additional flexibility. With the seat position approximately 350 mm above the ground, the elevated seating position provides enhanced visibility.

Unbound: Flexible Space for Every Journey

The rear cabin is designed for comfort and quietness, with rear seatbacks reclining to 28 degrees and generous headroom.

When the rear seats are folded, the vehicle provides a cargo area measuring up to 2.15 metres long, 1.05 metres wide and 1.35 metres high, with total cargo capacity of 1,818 litres.

The versatile space can accommodate family luggage and travel equipment, while supporting the installation of additional accessories for a wide range of lifestyle activities.

Resilience: On-Road and Off-Road Capability with i-AWD

The iCAUR V27 REEV is available with both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations.

The range-topping model features dual electric motors producing a combined 335 kW (455 hp) and maximum torque of 505 Nm, with a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 6 seconds.

The intelligent i-AWD system automatically distributes power between the dual motors to balance efficiency and traction. Up to nine driving modes are available, covering Eco, Normal, Sport and Personalised settings, as well as modes designed for loose, slippery and uneven surfaces, mud and all-road conditions.

For off-road driving, the vehicle offers 224 mm of ground clearance, a Wading Mode capable of handling water depths of up to 600 mm, an In-Place Turn function using Pivot Turn technology, and Crawl Mode for controlled speeds on off-road terrain and steep inclines.

Three V27 REEV Variants

The iCAUR V27 REEV is available in three variants:

• 2WD PRIDE – the entry-level model with a comprehensive equipment package
• 2WD PRIME – adds greater battery capacity and extended electric driving range
• 4WD PRESTIGE – the range-topping variant with dual electric motors, i-AWD and enhanced off-road technology

Exterior colours include Deep Black, Classic Sand, Moonlight White and Highland Green, while the 2WD PRIDE is available in Deep Black and Moonlight White.

The interior is offered in Shadow Black, while the 4WD PRESTIGE with a Classic Sand exterior can also be specified with an Oak Brown interior.

Maintenance costs are positioned to be up to 34% lower than those of conventional hybrid vehicles*. iCAUR Thailand is preparing to have more than 95% of spare parts available by October 2026, while standardising service quality across its nationwide dealer network.

The brand will also have a dedicated after-sales service team in place to provide consistent support to customers throughout the ownership experience.

By the end of 2026, iCAUR plans to establish more than 25 showrooms and service centres nationwide, covering Bangkok and major regional cities.
