Multi-sector initiative targets 9,300 prosthetic breasts for breast cancer patients, positioning Dusit Arun as a new “space for happiness through giving”

Dusit Thani Group has joined forces with PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC), Sabina Public Company Limited (SABINA), AstraZeneca (Thailand), Muang Thai Life Assurance, Silpakorn University and the Thai Red Cross Society to launch “Synergy for Her: Weaving Hearts, Creating Happiness for Society”, a three-month initiative combining social impact, volunteerism and ESG collaboration to support breast cancer patients across Thailand.
Launched on 1 October 2026 under the patronage of Ms. Suphajee Suthumpun, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, the initiative will run through December, coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness Day on 7 October. It aims to produce and distribute 9,300 high-quality prosthetic breasts through a nationwide network of hospitals, helping patients regain confidence and comfort following treatment.
The initiative is also being held as a royal merit-making tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother and Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati.

Chanin Donavanik, Group Chief Executive Officer of Dusit Thani Public Company Limited, said the initiative reflects Dusit Thani Group’s longstanding commitment to social responsibility and its ESG agenda, while demonstrating how collaboration across sectors can create meaningful impact.
“Dusit Thani Group has been committed to creating positive impact for society for more than 70 years. Through ‘Synergy for Her’, we are bringing together the strengths of our partners and providing spaces where people can come together, volunteer and contribute to a cause that directly supports those affected by breast cancer,” said Mr. Chanin.
The programme builds on “Sabina Sewing Cup Sewing Heart”, an ongoing initiative by SABINA and GC that invites volunteers to sew prosthetic breasts for breast cancer patients. Under the new collaboration, SABINA provides the prosthetic breast-making kits, while GC supplies high-quality plastic pellets that meet stringent hygiene and safety standards. Completed prostheses will be received by the Thai Red Cross Society for distribution to hospitals nationwide.

A key element of the initiative is the role played by Dusit Thani Bangkok and Dusit Arun, the group’s newly established urban spaces in central Bangkok. Dusit Thani Group is positioning Dusit Arun as a “space where happiness is created through giving” — an open public rooftop garden designed not only to provide a new green space in the city, but also to serve as a platform for community engagement, creativity and wellbeing.
“The role of Dusit Arun goes beyond being a green lung in the heart of Bangkok. We want it to become a place where people can create positive experiences and contribute to society. This initiative demonstrates how hospitality spaces can connect people and create meaningful social value,” Mr. Chanin added.
The initiative brings together expertise from partners across healthcare, insurance, education and the creative arts. AstraZeneca Thailand is providing education on breast cancer treatment and personalised care, while Muang Thai Life Assurance is offering Micro Insurance policies to participating volunteers. Silpakorn University is contributing through live music and creative art workshops, allowing participants to create encouragement cards for breast cancer patients.
The launch event also featured expert-led health talks on preventive self-care and breast health. The first 200 volunteers received breast-model sponges to learn how to perform breast self-examinations, reinforcing the programme’s focus on both support and awareness.
The “Synergy for Her” initiative will continue through the end of 2026, with members of the public invited to participate by collecting free prosthetic breast-making kits from SABINA shops and counters at department stores nationwide, as well as the Refresh Zone on Level 6 at Dusit Arun.
Through its combination of hospitality, community engagement and cross-sector collaboration, Dusit Thani Group aims to demonstrate how thoughtfully designed urban spaces can extend beyond their traditional roles to become platforms for social connection, wellbeing and meaningful change.
