On 3rd November 2026, as part of the grand reopening of its iconic Pool Wing, Copacabana Palace, A Belmond Hotel, Rio de Janeiro introduces a landmark five-storey Wellness Club. This exceptional collection of wellbeing experiences includes Latin America’s first Dior Spa, in addition to a state-of-the-art fitness centre; a Pilates and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu studio; a dedicated recovery floor; and a nourishing juice and nutrition bar. Rising above the hotel’s famed pool, the new destination pairs the palatial glamour that has defined Copacabana Palace for over a century, with a considered, contemporary approach, reinforcing Rio’s standing as a global capital of body care.
A WELLNESS CLUB IN RIO DE JANEIRO
Famed for its legendary parties and vibrant social scene, Copacabana Palace has been the keeper of Rio’s rhythms for decades. Now offering an unrivalled sanctuary for body and mind, wellbeing is woven through every part of the stay; from restorative rituals by the pool and on the beach, to an unparalleled new wellness destination within the Pool Wing, opening 3rd of November.
The Wellness Club is a sanctuary encompassing five distinct wellbeing spaces. The Fitness Centre, equipped with Technogym’s Artis line, spans two spaces on the ground floor.
In addition, there is a private movement and yoga studio, and a space dedicated to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, where guests can learn and practise the martial art. For those who prefer to train in the privacy of their own suite, every room is supplied with a yoga mat, and guests have access to a team of personal trainers to guide their fitness journey.
On the second floor, a new thermal area is designed for rest, recovery, and contrast therapy. The area features saunas (including infrared), a steam room, an ice bath and an ice fountain, creating a comprehensive environment for restoration and renewal.
A relaxation lounge invites guests to pause with intention, hydrating with a curated selection of botanical waters and teas, served with light bites inspired by traditional Brazilian ingredients.
The new Suco Bar nourishes the body, drawing on Brazilian ingredients, superfoods, and traditional remedies handed down through generations. More than a destination for health and nutrition, Copacabana Palace is a place to gather and reconnect throughout the day, where wellbeing, community and conversation are intertwined.
The Wellness Club is further complemented by a hair salon, barbershop and Beauty Lounge, offering a holistic approach to beauty and wellbeing under one roof. The Beauty Lounge is a private space created for those with a celebration, wedding or event at the hotel, welcoming beauty preparations with Dior products or with guests’ own make-up artists.
DIOR SPA COPACABANA PALACE: THE FIRST IN LATIN AMERICA
Set within the newly renovated Pool Wing, Dior Spa Copacabana Palace features six treatment rooms and a generous retail space dedicated to the Maison, with exclusive selections from the brand. Copacabana Palace will be the only destination in Rio to purchase La Collection Privée, Dior’s haute perfumery line created by the Maison’s perfumer, Francis Kurkdjian, as well as L’Or de Vie, the ultra-premium skincare and longevity line crafted from extracts of the legendary Château d’Yquem. The portfolio is completed by the Prestige line, made with the rare Granville rose, harvested just once a year, and the Dior Maison wellness line, which makes its Brazilian debut.
Designed exclusively for Dior Spa Copacabana Palace, the Healing Heart Ceremony signature experience is an immersive holistic ritual inspired by the ocean’s energy, that invites guests to deeply regenerate and reconnect with themselves. The ritual uses semi-precious stones which vibrate in harmony with sound therapy tools, like singing bowls, to guide the body and mind toward a state of deep serenity and inner alignment.
Dior has had a special relationship with Rio for decades. In 1961, Marc Bohan, creative director at Dior from 1960 to 1989, presented an Haute Couture collection in the Palace’s gardens. Fourteen years later, he chose the unforgettable Copacabana Beach as the backdrop for the photoshoot of his swimwear collection.
AN EXCLUSIVE COLLABORATION WITH DR. MARIA BUSSADE
Dior Spa Copacabana Palace opens with an exclusive collaboration with Brazilian dermatologist, Dr. Maria Bussade, founder of São Paulo’s Bussade Health, whose holistic approach to skin health mirrors Dior’s own philosophy of beauty built on balance and expertise. Together, they have created two signature treatments shaped by the rhythm of Carioca life, sun, movement and celebration, only available at Copacabana Palace. The Couture Radiance Facial is a restorative ritual of massage, dry brushing and micro-current therapy that leaves the skin firmer and luminous, while the Carioca High Sculpt draws on Brazil’s celebrated art of body sculpting to detoxify, tone and reshape.
Dior Spa Copacabana Palace also offers Dior’s signature Haute Wellness treatments, including Kobi-Dior, a precision facial massage co-created with Dior International Wellness Expert Hadda Akrim from the ancestral Japanese Kobido technique, and New Look Dior, a full-body treatment combining sculpting, drainage and micro-stimulation.
