The Honda LPGA Thailand 2026 National Qualifiers, held at Siam Country Club Rolling Hills, Pattaya, Chonburi, from 7–8 January 2026, concluded in thrilling fashion. April Chanoknan Anguraseranee, a 21-year-old golfer from Saraburi, claimed victory in her fourth appearance at the event with a total score of 3-under-par 141 (71-70).

Competing against a field of 89 players, including 25 professionals and 64 amateurs, April secured the sole qualifying spot to compete in the world-class women’s golf tournament Honda LPGA Thailand 2026, the 19th edition of the event. The tournament will take place from 19–22 February 2026 at Siam Country Club Old Course, Pattaya, featuring 72 of the world’s top golfers competing for a total prize purse of USD 1.8 million (approximately THB 60 million).

Currently ranked 456th in the Women’s World Golf Rankings, April shared her thoughts after her victory:
“Everyone played very well this year, and the course was extremely challenging, especially with the strong winds. Since I was young, I’ve often come to Pattaya to watch this tournament. To now earn the chance to compete myself feels incredibly special. I would like to thank my family for their constant support and Honda for creating this platform that allows Thai golfers to step onto the world stage. From here on, I will train even harder in the hope of playing alongside my golfing idols, Jeeno and May. Please continue to support me and all the Thai golfers.”

April began playing golf at the age of 11 and turned professional at just 16. She has built an impressive professional career, highlighted by a runner-up finish at the Ladies European Tour’s Magical Kenya Ladies Open in 2023. She has competed on the LPGA Tour in 2024 and 2025, and recorded her first professional hole-in-one at the par-3 6th hole (154 yards) during the first round of the PIF Saudi Ladies International 2025 at Riyadh Golf Club, Saudi Arabia. Her ultimate ambition is to become the world’s number one golfer.

Ms. Ratchanee Jirtavarakul, General Manager, Business Planning Division, Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd., stated that the National Qualifiers serve as a vital platform for Thai golfers to showcase their potential and create opportunities to develop the next generation of stars in women’s golf. Meanwhile, Mr. Nakhon Wimonjitasaad, General Manager, Marketing Communications Division, Thai Honda Co., Ltd., added that Honda strongly believes in the power and potential of Thai youth, and hopes that the experience gained from Honda LPGA Thailand will help pave the way for athletes’ future professional careers.
