Representing Honda LPGA Thailand 2023, Ms. Manawara Phechpalakon, (2nd from left) Marketing General Manager and Corporate Affairs General Manager Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Ms. Winnie Heng, (2nd from right) Senior Vice President and Managing Director of IMG Thailand, presented a donation of medical equipment and supplies to the Ban Tan Man Health Center. The contribution was purchased with funds raised from the registration fees from the Honda LPGA Thailand 2023’s National Qualifiers. Ms. Patcharawan Kemla, Director of Ban Tan Man Health Center (middle) received the donated items.In line with the tournament’s ongoing mission of creating a positive impact in society, the Honda LPGA Thailand 2023 donated essential medical equipment worth ฿177,500 Thai Baht to Ban Tan Man Health Centre, Chonburi. The donation presentation took place at the health centre itself and was officiated by Ms. Manawara Phechpalakon, Marketing General Manager and Corporate Affairs General Manager Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Ms. Winnie Heng, Vice President and Managing Director of IMG Thailand.
The contribution to Ban Tan Man Health Center consists of required medical equipment such as wheelchairs, an oxygen tank and oxygen concentrator, examination lamps and a sputum suction machine in addition to day-to-day essentials for patients and medical staff that include PA system, tables, diapers, incontinent pads, bottles of water and rubbing alcohol. Located in Chonburi, Pattaya, Ban Tan Man Health Centre is responsible for treating the surrounding community with an estimated 40 patients on a daily basis. The contribution was purchased with funds raised from the registration fees from the Honda LPGA Thailand 2023’s National Qualifiers that took place from 9-10 January 2023 at Siam Country Club Rolling Hills Pattaya, Chonburi. The National Qualifiers are an annual event in conjunction with the tournament to find one local amateur/ professional golfer to compete at Honda LPGA Thailand 2023. This year, Natthakritta Vongtaveelap earned a place to compete in Honda Honda LPGA Thailand 2023.
As a renowned sporting event that garners the attention of fans from all around the world, the Honda LPGA Thailand continuously strives to give back to the local communities in ways that aids them in their health and well-being. The tournament consistently creates and seeks opportunities to raise funds for their partnering welfare organisations and charities. Some of the fundraising activities include their annual Charity Night where golfing equipment from top players are auctioned off to the highest bidder.
The Honda LPGA Thailand 2023 will take place at Siam Country Club Old Course, Pattaya Chonburi province from February 23rd to 26th, 2023.
