From Louis Vuitton naming the world-famous boy-band, BTS as its global brand ambassador to the fan-favourite girl-group, Blackpink partnering up with iconic brands like Celine and Squid Games star model-turned-actress Ho-Yeon Jung also becoming a global ambassador for Louis Vuitton.

So, here are just some of the Korean celebrities now fronting international brands.

BTS


Why dress up one famous artist when investing in a renowned K-pop boy-band that shelters seven sounds like a way better deal? BTS has recently been tapped by Louis Vuitton as its new brand ambassador. Merging luxury fashion with contemporary culture, the group debuted unique designs like never-seen-before on the Seoul runway, making this one of the most iconic global collaborations of the year.

BLACKPINK’S Rose & Lisa


Blackpink is certainly taking the centre stage and Rosé’s latest associations with global luxury powerhouses are proof. After achieving a major milestone by being named as the new face of the Parisian fashion brand Yves Saint Laurent back in 2020, the pop star didn’t just stop there. Now, she adds another glamorous laurel to her name by becoming a global ambassador for Tiffany & Co.

Lisa is another major fashion power player in the business who has influenced trends since the very beginning. Starting with representing Celine in 2019, with her ever-desirable Parisian aesthetic and becoming the shiny new face of Bvlgari along the way, the young rapper has surely made the world of luxury fashion her very own.

Gong Yoo


The Train to Busan (2016) star, who also made a special appearance in Netflix’s most-watched series Squid Game (2021- ), was announced as Chanel Korea’s brand ambassador earlier in 2021. The actor will endorse the brand’s fine jewellery and watches.

Lee Jung-Jae


While Lee Jung-Jae from the Squid Game fame preps for the upcoming season of the Netflix series, the Korean actor has caught the attention of one of the biggest fashion houses in the world. He was made the global brand ambassador of Gucci in November 2021.

Ho-Yeon Jung


Another Squid Game star who has gained massive popularity after the show’s release is Ho-Yeon Jung. The model-turned-actress is now one of Louis Vuitton global ambassadors.

In an Instagram post on 6 October, 2021, the French luxury fashion house’s creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere wrote: “I immediately fell in love with HoYeon’s great talent and fantastic personality, and I am looking forward to starting this new chapter of the journey we started at Louis Vuitton a few years ago.”

Song Hye-Kyo


The Descendants of the Sun (2016) actress was appointed Fendi’s first Korean global brand ambassador.

Hyun Bin


Crash Landing On You’s “oppa” Hyun Bin was named as the first Korean ambassador for Italian brand Loro Piana. Tom Ford Beauty also announced the actor as its first regional ambassador.

Hyun Bin kicked things off by fronting Tom Ford’s Soleil Brulant fragrance campaign and has since starred in the Soleil Neige campaign.
