Milan, Italy – Generali Group has announced a landmark partnership with two of Italy’s most iconic football clubs, AC Milan and FC Internazionale Milano (Inter Milan), becoming the Naming Partner of their new stadium, which will officially be known as Generali Stadium. The agreement represents one of the most significant stadium naming-rights partnerships in global sport. Generali will also serve as the Official Insurance Partner of both clubs, marking another important milestone in its long-term commitment to being part of Milan’s future.

Andrea Sironi, Chairman of the Generali Group, and Philippe Donnet, Group Chief Executive Officer of Generali, highlighted the significance of the new stadium in strengthening Milan’s position as one of Italy’s most internationally recognised cities and destinations.
As a longstanding ambassador for Italy on the global stage, Generali is proud to be part of this landmark project alongside two clubs with passionate and dedicated fan bases around the world. From the very beginning of this exciting initiative, Generali has been committed to helping shape a project that will become an important landmark in Milan’s future, celebrating the values of sport and creating shared experiences for people from across the globe. The stadium will also stand as a lasting legacy for generations to come.
“At Generali, we believe sport plays an important role in bringing people together, promoting wellbeing and supporting the growth of communities – both in Italy and across the more than 50 countries in which we operate. Our role therefore goes far beyond having our name associated with a stadium. We want to be part of every memorable moment that fans experience within this venue.”

Designed with the modern fan experience at its heart, Generali Stadium will take into account the needs, lifestyles and expectations of today’s audiences, creating a venue that responds to the way people experience live sporting events. With a capacity of up to 71,500 spectators, the stadium is being developed through a collaboration between two leading international architecture firms, Foster + Partners and MANICA.
The design brings together Lord Norman Foster, one of the most influential contemporary architects, and David Manica, whose firm has been involved in the design of stadiums around the world. Its distinctive architectural identity is defined by an X-frame structure, rhythmically integrated with a double-curved roof to create a striking and instantly recognisable silhouette.

The architectural concept also draws inspiration from Milan’s identity, culture and reputation as a global fashion capital. The result is envisioned as more than a football stadium: it is designed to become an integral part of the city’s urban fabric and future way of life.
The partnership further underscores Generali’s longstanding commitment to sport and its role in supporting communities through major sporting events and initiatives worldwide. Its portfolio of sporting partnerships includes the Davis Cup by Generali, the historic Barcolana sailing regatta, which Generali has supported for more than 40 years, and the Berlin Marathon, one of the world’s leading running events.
The Generali Stadium partnership marks another significant chapter in the Group’s involvement in the world of sport, reinforcing its ambition to create lasting value and shared experiences for people, communities and cities around the world.
