LAMRIT Co., Ltd., a leading provider of medical and rehabilitation services in Thailand, announced the launch of The O2 Bangkok, the country’s first sports and wellness complex integrating advanced sports, rehabilitation and preventive wellness under one roof. The 200-million-baht facility, spanning 10,200 square meters on Soi Charan Sanit Wong 84 near MRT Bang O Station, is set to open in June 2026. The O2 Bangkok is the first facility in Thailand to seamlessly connect medical treatment, rehabilitation, and professional sports training, creating a complete health and wellness ecosystem for athletes and health-conscious individuals of all ages. Built on the Injury-to-Membership Loop model, the complex offers comprehensive care—from treating injuries with medical professionals to restoring athletic performance through sports rehabilitation—all within world-class sports facilities. The project is designed as a national sports science model and certified by the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT).

The complex has secured partnerships with leading names in sports and wellness, including Sapsiree “Popor” Taerattanachai, former badminton world champion, who co-founded Sapsiree Badminton Academy to develop the next generation of competitive players. Other partners include Fei Yue Asia, owner of the FYB brand, and PRIMALAPE, Thailand’s first AI-driven 24-hour gym. Medical services come from Suklert Clinic, offering sports injury treatment, rehabilitation, and anti-aging medicine.

Thailand’s sports medicine market is experiencing strong growth. Market research platform Grand View Horizon projects the sector will surge from USD 80.3 million in 2024 to USD 170.9 million by 2033, a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.8%. Meanwhile, adopting active lifestyles to prevent non-communicable diseases (NCDs) continues gaining traction across all generations in Thailand. The O2 Bangkok aims to elevate the nation’s health and wellness industry by creating a facility that addresses every aspect of wellbeing—from prevention and treatment to recovery—while advancing professional athletic performance by housing world-class sports facilities alongside modern medical clinics.

Why Prevention, Recovery, and Longevity Go Hand in Hand

Dr. Manop Silalert, CEO and Co-Founder of The O2 Bangkok, explained, “From my experience working in the rehabilitation field both in Thailand and abroad, I’ve seen that medical centers, physiotherapy clinics, and professional sports facilities operate separately. Thai consumers travel to multiple locations—parents go to clinics for checkups, children train at sports facilities, and when athletes get injured, they visit hospitals. During recovery, they go elsewhere for physiotherapy. This fragments care and wastes time and money. We’ve also seen many youth and professional athletes quit sports due to chronic injuries that were never properly treated or rehabilitated. Athletes don’t just want to heal; they want to return to competition. That’s why a sports complex with integrated medical and physiotherapy services is essential, creating seamless coordination between treatment and training. These challenges drove us to create The O2 Bangkok. We’ve partnered with industry leaders including Popor, former badminton world champion and co-founder of Sapsiree Badminton Academy, and Fei Yue Asia, owner of the FYB brand. We’ve positioned The O2 Bangkok as the only youth sports center in Southeast Asia focusing specifically on sports rehabilitation, with the long-term goal of elevating Thailand’s sports rehabilitation standards and developing the next generation of Thai athletes for the world stage. Our mission is ‘Move Better, Feel Younger, Live Longer’—we believe proper movement and strength training improve health, and when we consistently maintain physical strength, we live longer with better quality of life.”

The “Injury-to-Membership Loop” Model: From Patients into Members

The O2 Bangkok uses the “Injury-to-Membership Loop” strategy, connecting three service stages: Treatment begins when individuals injured from sports, accidents, or work receive care at Suklert Clinic, offering modern medical treatment, sports rehabilitation, physiotherapy for muscular and joint issues, and aesthetic and anti-aging services focused on functional medicine and preventive health. Recovery allows patients to continue training at the on-site sports facilities under the same medical team and physiotherapists, eliminating travel to other venues. Prevention completes the loop—The O2 Bangkok’s facilities meet international standards with professional coaching to ensure proper training techniques and long-term injury prevention.

Dr. Manop added, “We designed The O2 Bangkok as a ‘health shopping mall’ in a prime location. We’re targeting urban health enthusiasts and families with purchasing power who want comprehensive wellness services in one place. Every family member finds activities suited to their lifestyle—children train with coaches, adults and athletes play sports for stress relief and performance recovery, parents waiting for their kids can get health checkups and anti-aging treatments, and seniors can join NCD prevention programs and low-impact activities like swimming.”

Four-Floor Complex Raising Training Standards

The O2 Bangkok’s 10,200 square meters across four floors include Sapsiree Badminton Academy with seven air-conditioned courts featuring high-quality shock-absorbing flooring to reduce knee injuries, led by Sapsiree Taerattanachai; FYB Basketball Academy with air-conditioned indoor courts using professional-grade wooden flooring with shock-absorption systems; FYB Football Academy with a 5-a-side football field; PRIMALAPE, Thailand’s first AI-managed 24-hour gym; Suklert Clinic; a 25-meter outdoor hydrotherapy pool; a food and beverage center with diverse healthy options; and ample parking. Future plans include massage and spa services.

A Path to Become an International Health Landmark

The O2 Bangkok aims to establish itself as Bangkok’s Performance & Recovery Center and become recognized as an international health and lifestyle landmark. Long-term plans include preparing for an IPO while expanding The O2 as a franchise domestically and across Southeast Asia, bringing the integrated “Medicine-Sports-Rehabilitation” model to other markets and elevating Thailand’s sports and physiotherapy standards internationally.
