Poramet ngampichet, the Mayor of Pattaya, welcomed Dr. Chatchai Che (Coach Che), the head coach of the Thai National Taekwondo Team, on the occasion of his visit to meet with the Pattaya City administration to officially invite Pattaya to co-host the 12th edition of the event. This international competition will take place in 2025, from February 8 to 9, at the National Sports Center of the Eastern Region. The meeting was attended by Mr. Phumipipat Kamolnat, Secretary to the Mayor, and other deputy secretaries at the Pattaya City Hall.
Dr. Chatchai Che (Coach Che), along with the Taekwondo Association of Thailand, is organizing this international event to create a platform for emerging athletes who are eager to join the national team and eventually rise to become top taekwondo athletes both in Thailand and internationally, following in the footsteps of many seasoned athletes. The competition also aims to encourage young athletes to use their free time effectively, promote physical exercise, and embrace sportsmanship. The event will feature two categories: sparring and poomsae, with athletes from 8 countries already confirmed to participate. The number of athletes is expected to exceed 1,500.
Poramet ngampichet, the Mayor of Pattaya, expressed his delight in co-hosting the 12th CHOI YOUNG SEOK CUP INTERNATIONAL TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIPS PATTAYA 2025, which will take place on February 8-9, 2025, at the National Sports Center of the Eastern Region. He has instructed the relevant departments to coordinate and ensure smooth preparations for the event.
