Bangkok, 5 February 2026 – Golf fans are buzzing with anticipation as the Honda LPGA Thailand 2026 prepares to return in spectacular fashion from 19–22 February 2026 at Siam Country Club Old Course, Pattaya, Chonburi.
This year marks a historic milestone for the tournament, as Jeeno–Atthaya Thitikul is set to compete on home soil for the first time as the World No.1 female golfer, the first such occasion in the history of the event. She will go head-to-head with Lydia Ko, former World No.1, alongside a stellar field of 72 of the world’s top LPGA Tour players, competing for a total prize purse of USD 1.8 million (approximately THB 60 million).
Adding to the excitement, spectators will also have the chance to witness special hole-in-one prizes, including a Honda GoldWing motorcycle valued at THB 1,355,000 at Hole 8, and a new Honda CR-V e:HEV RS with Modulo accessories valued at THB 1,863,220 at Hole 16.
Mr. Toshio Kuwahara, President and CEO of Asian Honda Motor Co., Ltd., said:
“For over 60 years, Honda has been committed to supporting youth development and international sports under the concept of Honda Sports Challenge. We believe sports play a vital role in developing people and inspiring society on a global scale. This year’s tournament is especially meaningful, as Thai fans will have the opportunity to cheer for the World No.1 female golfer competing on home soil. This moment reflects the growth of golf in Thailand and highlights Honda LPGA Thailand as more than just a world-class tournament—it is a platform that connects sport with communities while contributing to the economy, tourism, and national image, in line with Honda’s goal of creating sustainable value for society.”
Interest in the tournament has surged as Jeeno Thitikul becomes the first Thai golfer in the 19-year history of the Honda LPGA Thailand to compete at home while holding the World No.1 ranking. Her outstanding 2025 season included three LPGA victories—the Mizuho Americas Open, Buick LPGA Shanghai, and the CME Group Tour Championship, the latter marking her second consecutive title. She also claimed the Rolex Player of the Year 2025 award and set a new record by winning the Vare Trophy for the lowest scoring average at 68.681, breaking the long-standing record held by Annika Sörenstam. Jeeno described her return to compete in front of Thai fans as “special,” adding that winning her first LPGA title at home would be “extra special.”
Dr. Nittaya Kerdchuntuek, Director of the Office of the Professional Sports Commission, Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), said:
“Honda LPGA Thailand is a key model for advancing golf across multiple dimensions. Beyond youth development initiatives, the emergence of two Thai golfers as World No.1—Ariya Jutanugarn and Jeeno Atthaya Thitikul—serves as a powerful inspiration for developing sports professionals alongside world-class event management. The Sports Authority of Thailand is proud to support this success, in line with our national policy to elevate all sports to international standards.”
Ms. Winnie Heng, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of IMG Services (Thailand) Ltd., the tournament organizer, added:
“The strong collaboration among all partners is a key driving force behind the continued growth of Honda LPGA Thailand, alongside our goal of fostering sustainable growth in golf—across players, fans, and the broader sports ecosystem. While golf is one of the world’s oldest sports, it is also one of the fastest-growing today, driven by younger generations and women. With more accessible formats such as par-3 courses, driving ranges, and golf simulators, golf has evolved into a social activity that fits modern lifestyles. We invite everyone to experience world-class competition alongside family-friendly activities at this year’s event.”

Thai golfers set to compete include Ariya Jutanugarn, former World No.1 and 2021 champion (World No.22), Pajaree Anannarukarn (World No.54 and runner-up at the 2025 CME Group Tour Championship), Chanettee Wannasaen (World No.55), and April Chanakan Angurasaranee, winner of the National Qualifiers.
