Sandy Kraokaew Stuvik, the Thai-Norwegian racing driver and the first driver to compete under Ford Thailand Racing (FTR), is set to return to Thailand’s biggest circuit racing championship, the Thailand Super Series (TSS), competing in the Thailand Super Pickup category. For the 2026 season, Sandy is aiming to secure the championship title together with his team while continuing to deliver excitement and pride to motorsport fans.

The 2026 season marks a significant milestone for FTR as the team expands its lineup to strengthen its competitiveness across the entire grid. This season, Sandy will join YK Motorsports, the vehicle development team, where he will play a key role in developing the team’s new racing project.

Under this new partnership, Sandy will compete in a Ford Ranger Single Cab powered by a 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine in the Thailand Super Pickup category, which has rapidly become one of the most competitive classes in the series. This year, the category features as many as 39 competing vehicles, making it an intense battle where there is no room for even the slightest mistake.

Sandy’s move to YK Motorsports is not only a new opportunity but also a major challenge, as the team must complete the development of an entirely new race package within a limited timeframe ahead of the season opener at Chang International Circuit in Buriram from May 22–24. Sandy enters the new season with confidence after securing victory in the final round of the 2025 season, although he remains cautious about the increasingly competitive nature of the championship each year.

Sandy said: “I am extremely pleased to continue working with Ford Thailand Racing for what is now our seventh season together. This year presents another major challenge as we work with a new race car development team. We are currently fine-tuning an entirely new race car package. Although time is quite limited, I am fully committed to helping push the team to the front of the grid and fight for our ultimate goal — winning this year’s championship.”

The opening round of the Thailand Super Series 2026 will take place from May 21–24 at Chang International Circuit in Buriram Province. Motorsport fans should not miss a moment, as Sandy’s debut with his new team could become one of the biggest highlights of the season.
