Metro Group has officially entered Thailand’s premium electric vehicle market as the authorized distributor of HONGQI vehicles. The company has introduced the HONGQI E-HS9, a flagship luxury electric SUV, to Thai customers. The model is now available for viewing and test-drive reservations at the HONGQI Showroom in the heart of Bangkok at One Bangkok and at HONGQI Mansion on Rama II Road.

Metro Group aims to expand its dealer network to 10 locations nationwide within the next three years. To celebrate the launch, the company is offering a special introductory price of THB 2,990,000 for the first 400 units.

The HONGQI E-HS9 is a premium all-electric SUV that seamlessly combines advanced technology with refined luxury. Distinguished by its signature vertical chrome waterfall grille and iconic Red Flag emblem, the vehicle also features a striking red accent line extending across the center of the hood. Its spacious six-seat cabin is equipped with a premium BOSE audio system featuring 16 speakers, making it an ideal choice for business executives, entrepreneurs, and modern families.

Designed by renowned British automotive designer Giles Taylor, formerly of Rolls-Royce, the HONGQI E-HS9 elegantly blends timeless sophistication with contemporary styling.

The vehicle is powered by a dual-motor All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system delivering a maximum output of 362 kW (493 hp) and 606 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds. Equipped with a 120 kWh ternary lithium battery, the E-HS9 offers a driving range of up to 760 km (CLTC) and supports DC fast charging of up to 140 kW. It also features seven driving modes, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and a comprehensive suite of intelligent safety technologies.

The HONGQI E-HS9 has also proven its reliability through the historic “One Belt, One Road” cross-border journey, successfully covering more than 6,000 kilometers from the Great Wall of China through Laos to Bangkok without any technical issues.

Metro Group plans to expand its nationwide dealer network to 10 locations within three years, with dealerships strategically located across Bangkok and major cities throughout Thailand.
