Joining forces across the public sector, private sector and communities: The Governor of Chiang Mai, the President of the Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization and the Mayor of Chiang Mai City Municipality, together with government agencies and communities, are jointly driving Chiang Mai Tram by Lannatique to promote a transport system that connects key tourist attractions, support sustainable urban development, and strengthen Chiang Mai’s potential as an international tourism destination.

AWC Sustainable & Cultural Journey strengthens Chiang Mai’s Tourism Ecosystem At the heart of this initiative is Chiang Mai Tram by Lannatique, Thailand’s first clean-energy electric tram service, featuring 15 stations linking key destinations and offering a distinctive way to experience Lanna’s rich stories and cultural charm. Connecting tourist attractions, hotels, transport networks, and local communities, the initiative creates new economic opportunities for local communities and supports Chiang Mai’s sustainable growth.
