Transforming the Chao Phraya Riverside into a Spectacular Christmas Light Landmark
Celebrate the festive season with an extraordinary display of lights, colours and sounds from 1 November to 25 December 2026.
ICONSIAM is reaffirming its position as a world-class riverside landmark with the launch of “ICONSIAM BANGKOK ILLUMINATION 2026”, supported by True5G. Inviting both Thai residents and international visitors to celebrate the year-end festive season, the event features a spectacular Christmas tree and an immersive light and sound experience along the Chao Phraya River. It runs from 1 November to 25 December 2026 at River Park, G Floor, and ICONSIAM Park, 2nd Floor, ICONSIAM.
The centrepiece of this year’s celebration is a magnificent Christmas tree standing more than 21 metres tall, illuminating the riverside with a dazzling display of lights. Created under the concept “The Blessing Tree”, it symbolises happiness, hope and goodwill shared among people during the festive season.
Inspired by MANORAH, the distinctive traditional performing art of Southern Thailand, the installation translates the art form’s intricate beadwork, vibrant colours and graceful lines into a contemporary design. Delicate Thai decorative elements and cascading ornaments are reinterpreted through a refined, airy aesthetic, bringing together Thai craftsmanship and modern creativity.
The concept, “Every Bead Becomes a Blessing. Every Blessing Becomes Part of the Spectacle,” represents each individual bead as a blessing, woven together to create a tree that unites people’s hopes and good wishes. Its design conveys eight auspicious blessings: love, happiness, hope, peace, wealth and prosperity, success, good health and joy.
Adding to the spectacle, The Blessing Tree changes colours throughout the evening, creating the impression of a living symbol of good fortune. Sustainability is also central to the installation, with recycled materials used throughout its components, giving existing materials a new lease of life and symbolising fresh beginnings at the close of the year. The result is a harmonious expression of Thai identity, contemporary design and environmental consciousness.
Visitors can also enjoy “The Spectacle Celebration of Light & Joy Symphony”, a captivating Christmas tree light show accompanied by a musical composition that blends Thai and international melodies. Shimmering bubbles of blessings add another magical dimension, representing happiness, prosperity and goodwill shared with everyone. The show takes place three times daily at 6.30pm, 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
The celebration is further enhanced by “The ICONIC Multimedia Water Features”, a spectacular water performance combining lights, colours and the graceful movement of water to create an unforgettable festive atmosphere.
Flavors & Glow by The River: A Festive Food and Beverage Experience
For an even more memorable evening, visitors can enjoy a selection of food and beverages while taking in the panoramic views of the Chao Phraya River and the dazzling illumination of ICONSIAM BANGKOK ILLUMINATION 2026, supported by True5G.
“Flavors & Glow by The River” is a food and beverage festival taking place at ICONSIAM Park, 2nd Floor, from 1–15 November 2026. The event brings together a variety of international dishes and popular food outlets, including CW Currywurst, WAGRill BBQ STEAK, Pig Me Up, Born to dine, Khao Soi Prin and Berlin’s Doner Kebab, among others.
The festival will also feature a first-time gathering of well-known breweries and craft beer brands presented by BEER PEOPLE from 1–8 November 2026. From 9–15 November 2026, visitors can discover distinctive Thai local spirits made using homegrown fruits and Thai rice, showcasing local wisdom and ingredients with the potential to reach international markets.
More food and beverage choices will be available from SIAM Takashimaya and Sapporo. The experience will be complemented by live musical performances by students from the College of Music, Mahidol University, at 6.30pm and 7.30pm, creating an enjoyable evening of food, music and riverside scenery.
