(Houston, USA) – The LPGA Tour has announced that The Chevron Championship, the first major championship of the year, will move to Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas, USA. The tournament will be held from April 23–26, 2026.

Memorial Park Golf Course was redesigned by renowned golf course architect Tom Doak and is located near Chevron’s global headquarters and downtown Houston. The new venue will allow golf fans, community partners, and employees easier access to the championship and greater opportunities to engage with the event. Memorial Park is also home to the Chevron Golf and Education Center, which provides Houston-area youth with opportunities to learn STEM concepts through the game of golf.

Craig Kessler, LPGA Commissioner, said:
“Our partnership with Chevron continues to set the standard for investment in women’s golf—not only as a major championship, but as a platform to inspire and grow the game. Moving The Chevron Championship to Memorial Park Golf Course strengthens that vision by bringing the event closer to the heart of Houston, connecting our fans and communities with our athletes, and ensuring that our major championship, which dates back to 1972, remains one of the most meaningful stages in the game of golf.”

The Chevron Championship has been held at The Woodlands, Texas, since 2022. In the 2026 season, the tournament will feature a total purse of USD 8 million. The reigning champion is Mao Saigo of Japan. Chevron and the LPGA look forward to welcoming the world’s top golfers and fans to Memorial Park Golf Course for a spectacular first major of the year.
