Proud Group Introduces a New Travel and Leisure Experience: ฺัTravel to Hua Hin and Stay at a Hotel – Visit a Water Park by Train, with Free Rides from January to March 2025

Proud Group, a leading property development company specializing in Integrated Entertainment and Resort Destinations in Thailand, continues to push forward in the domestic tourism market, aiming to boost tourism in Hua Hin. They are launching a new train route to Nong Kae Station in Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, allowing travelers to reminisce about the charm of train travel steeped in Thai culture and history.

To enhance the tourism value, a convenient connection has been built from Nong Kae Station to the Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin and nearby attractions, including the Vana Nava Water Jungle. This connection will be fully operational in November 2024.

Ms. Proudputh Liptapanlop, Executive Director of Proud Group, stated, “We have consistently worked to promote tourism in Hua Hin through the creation of man-made destinations, such as water parks and shopping centers, as well as organizing various events throughout the year. Now, with the completion of the double-track train route from Bangkok to Hua Hin, we see the potential of this new travel format, which not only provides another travel option to reduce car traffic—beneficial for the environment—but also promotes Green Tourism. This will create a new dynamic for Hua Hin tourism, offering unique travel experiences for friends and families who wish to enjoy the classic charm of travel reminiscent of the past, especially since Hua Hin’s popularity began with the establishment of the railway line long ago. Moreover, this initiative will increase revenue for the State Railway of Thailand and ensure that government investments in transportation infrastructure are utilized efficiently for the benefit of both tourists and the general public.”

Proud Group has obtained permission from the State Railway of Thailand to build a connection from the Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin to Nong Kae Station by leasing land from the railway. This will make it more convenient for tourists visiting Hua Hin to use the train to reach attractions such as Vana Nava Sky Rooftop Bar, the highest bar in Hua Hin, or to connect to nearby attractions like Vana Nava Water Jungle, which was ranked the number one water park in Thailand and the 15th best in the world by Tripadvisor in 2024. Future visitors can travel to the hotel by train, arriving at Nong Kae Station and walking just 200 meters to the hotel. The hotel will provide buggy services and assistance with luggage for guests’ convenience. Additionally, this connection allows easy access to popular local attractions like Khao Takiab Beach, fishing villages, and Cicada Market, all within a distance of just 700 meters or a 15-minute walk. The construction of this connection is now complete and ready to open in November 2024.

“The creation of this connection to promote train travel is part of our efforts to support and promote travel reminiscent of the past, highlighting the history and charm of Hua Hin. Furthermore, it will enhance comfort, as staff from Proud Group will be available to assist and facilitate tourists on board the train. The opening of this new route will also stimulate tourism in Thailand, encourage spending along the way, and attract both Thai and international travelers, especially for group tourism, seminars, and school field trips, effectively boosting Hua Hin’s tourism industry during weekdays and enriching the travel experience for tourists in new ways.”

Proud Group has organized a special train service from Bangkok to Nong Kae Station in Hua Hin, allowing reservations for guests at the Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin, Vana Nava Water Jungle, and the InterContinental Hua Hin Resort, as well as for interested members of the public to experience this service free of charge.
