MINI Thailand Unveils the MINI Cooper Paul Smith Edition — A Fusion of Two Iconic British Design Legends

Bangkok – MINI Thailand proudly introduces the meeting of two iconic British design legends with the launch of the new MINI Cooper Paul Smith Edition. This special edition seamlessly blends MINI’s unmistakable design language with Sir Paul Smith’s signature philosophy of “Classic with a Twist,” resulting in a distinctive vehicle that celebrates the unique character of both brands in refined style. The launch also marks an exciting start to 2026 for MINI enthusiasts in Thailand.

The new MINI Cooper Paul Smith Edition continues the legacy of collaboration between the two brands, which first began in 1998 with a limited-edition classic MINI in blue. This was followed by two concept models in 1999 and 2021, before the original 1998 edition was reimagined as an electric vehicle under the name MINI Recharged by Paul Smith.

As the first in a series of special editions MINI plans to introduce in Thailand this year, the MINI Cooper Paul Smith Edition stands out through its seamless fusion of MINI’s iconic design and Paul Smith’s unmistakable style. The vehicle features exclusive color finishes, signature detailing, and vibrant accents that bring together the heritage and identity of both brands.

The model is available in three exterior colors, including two exclusive shades: Statement Grey, inspired by the classic grey of the 1959 Austin Seven MINI, and Inspired White, derived from the beige tones found in many classic MINI models. Completing the palette is Midnight Black Metallic, offering a sleek, contemporary edge.

Regardless of the chosen color, every MINI Cooper Paul Smith Edition features a distinctive Nottingham Green roof, complemented by Paul Smith’s signature stripe along the driver’s side edge. This unique green shade pays homage to Sir Paul Smith’s hometown and is echoed across the side mirrors, octagonal front grille, and wheel hub caps, each adorned with Paul Smith branding.

The exterior is further enhanced by 18-inch Night Flash Spoke alloy wheels in black with Dark Steel accents. MINI logos at the front and rear are finished in a new Black Blue tone, while the rear door handle features Paul Smith’s signature, symbolizing the creative spirit behind the design.

Inside, the cabin reflects a modern and refined aesthetic. The dashboard and door panels feature black knitted textile surfaces, while the dashboard is accented with subtle black and grey striping inspired by Paul Smith’s fabric designs. Sport seats in Nightshade Blue are upholstered in Vescin and complemented by knitted fabric details at the shoulders and headrests. The steering wheel features colorful fabric accents inspired by Paul Smith’s iconic design elements.

At the center of the dashboard, the circular display offers three exclusive Paul Smith-themed backgrounds in Personal Mode. Upon entry, a projector light welcomes driver and front passenger with a handwritten “Hello” on the ground. The door sills are inscribed with Paul Smith’s motto, “Every day is a new beginning,” while the floor mats feature a playful rabbit graphic hand-drawn by Sir Paul Smith himself.

In terms of performance, the MINI Cooper Paul Smith Edition delivers the brand’s signature “Go-Kart Feeling.” Powered by an electric motor producing up to 218 hp (160 kW), it accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 170 km/h. The vehicle offers a driving range of up to 402 kilometers on a single charge (WLTP standard), combining dynamic performance with sustainable mobility.
