BVLGARI, the Magnificent Roman High Jeweler, icon of contemporary Italian Art of Living, announces the opening of its boutique in Central Phuket Floresta, the temple of luxurious living styles in the very heart of Phuket.

Upon entering the store, there is an immediate feeling, a feeling of arrival, a feeling of being and a feeling of belonging in a special Bvlgari place. Bvlgari’s architecture and design, inspired by Contemporary Rome and by the Italian Art of living is a treat to all the senses. Visitors are enticed to explore and immerse themselves into a Bvlgari world of beauty and magnificence and leave compelled to return. Bvlgari is Rome and Rome is Bvlgari, but not in a nostalgic way, rather than through a contemporary and ever-evolving interpretation; as Bvlgari is “Eternally Reborn” and has always been the brand that has been able to reinterpret the past with a new contemporary key.

The shop front is open and inviting with a transparent corner entrance with elegant brass frame, with eye-catching show windows and the iconic BVLGARI logo in roman capitals is featured on the distinctive Imperial green marble fascia, and immediately creates a sense of place.

Upon entering the store, there is no mistaking you have arrived at Bvlgari with contemporary interiors oozing Italian design and understated elegance. Caldia marble laid with a geometric pattern has been used for the central room and an inlaid eight-point star in brass greets clients at the main entrance, which has become an unifying symbol used in all boutiques around the World.  This special star is a universal symbol of balance, harmony and cosmic order, the eight lines are symbolic of the four cardinal points (North, South, East, West) and time (two solstices and two equinoxes).  According to the famous legend, the star means “Roma Caput Mundi”, meaning that all the routes lead to Rome, and is a unifying symbol found in all Bvlgari boutiques around the world.

The shop layout has been designed as a series of adjoining rooms to explore, just like a real Bvlgari maison, and just as Rome reveals its unexpected wonders to a visitor, our stores become for the customer a walk to discover the unexpected wonders of Bvlgari creations.

Travertine, a symbolic stone of Roman times, gives brightness and materiality to furnishings and columns, and becomes for Bvlgari also a colour, a symbol of refinement and elegance.  The first central room upon entering the store has a round browsing counter which has a sculptured travertine top.  If we look back in time, we can see how great artists and architects used marble and travertine to create monuments, buildings and statues that have stood the test of time and remain as relevant and beautiful today as yesteryear.  The Italian artistic tradition is based on finding this timeless aesthetic and is part of Bvlgari’s DNA.

The welcoming ambience is created through combining colours, materials, different textures and shapes, as well as soft elements to add warmth to the space.   The wall finishes throughout the interior are a combination of a fluted, waved textured pattern, and precious silks further enriched by golden brass inserts.

The magical and golden light of Rome is evocative and a constant source of inspiration.  For years the unique light of Rome has accompanied Bvlgari, and the warm saffron colour used for the showcase lining, recalls the magical Roman sunsets when the sky is ablaze in a crescendo of golden tones. The flooring in the left-hand corner room has a geometrical pattern formed by circles and squares in caldia and dark emerald marble inspired by the Pantheon.  For those wishing to spend more time in the store, there is an elegant lounge and the opportunity to experience the delights of Italian hospitality.

Bvlgari Icons weaved seamlessly into the design

During 140 years of magnificence, Bvlgari has given birth to many icons, and the interior design concept pays tribute to some of these icons, enriching the connections and storytelling with the brand.  There is a stunning chandelier in the form of a Serpent, hand crafted by Venini in Murano glass, celebrating one of Bvlgari’s icons.  Serpenti represents uniqueness as well as the harmonious continuity between Bvlgari’s Greco-Roman heritage and contemporary design.  Since the 1940s, the serpent has been linked with Bvlgari’s evolution and signature style; it has seen countless rebirths and became an expression of strength and individuality for the charismatic women who have worn them over the decades.

Colourful artwork pieces of the iconic pop artist Andy Warhol who famously once quoted “For me calling at Bvlgari shop is like visiting the best exhibition of contemporary art”, bring an additional splash of colour.
