Park Hyatt Bangkok marks its 9th anniversary this May with a meaningful culinary collaboration with NAWA Thai Cuisine, the contemporary Thai restaurant awarded one Michelin star. The name “NAWA” signifies the auspicious number nine, which in Thai culture represents progress, completeness, and prosperity.

This collaboration reflects a harmonious convergence of concept and place. NAWA Thai Cuisine will present an exclusive, limited-time dining experience at Park Hyatt Bangkok, offering an intimate and refined atmosphere that reflects the cultural symbolism of the number nine—perfectly aligned with the hotel’s significant milestone.

NAWA Thai Cuisine earned its first Michelin star within just nine months of opening, gaining recognition for its meticulous approach to ingredient selection and culinary craftsmanship. The restaurant places strong emphasis on seasonality, provenance, and the intrinsic value of each ingredient. Inspirations drawn from diverse regions of Thailand are reinterpreted through modern techniques, resulting in dishes that express both balance and sophistication.

For this special occasion, NAWA’s culinary team will present a nine-course tasting menu inspired by the symbolism of the number nine. The menu highlights beloved Thai classics such as Nam Prik Jon (Thai chili relish), Tom Yum river prawn soup, and Tom Kha crab, thoughtfully reimagined to reflect both the roots and contemporary evolution of Thai cuisine.

Marc de Leeuw, General Manager of Park Hyatt Bangkok, said: “At Park Hyatt Bangkok, we are committed to presenting Thailand as a destination of beauty and artistry. Our collaboration with NAWA Thai Cuisine offers a unique opportunity to showcase the charm of Thai gastronomy through storytelling and innovation, while celebrating the excellence of local culinary heritage in a contemporary context.”

Chef Joe Napol Jantraget, Head Chef of NAWA Thai Cuisine, added: “This collaboration allows us to convey the meaning of the number nine, which symbolizes continuity, growth, and respect for the past while moving forward into the future. At the same time, ‘Nawa’ also means ‘new,’ which we interpret through a distinctive culinary experience created to celebrate this special occasion.”

The experience will take place within the elegant setting of Park Hyatt Bangkok, transformed into a refined and intimate dining space where design, flavor, and cultural meaning come together seamlessly.
